The long anticipated premiere of The Dark Knight finally arrived last night, and the stars dressed accordingly to the movie's title. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, and Lauren Conrad all looked gorgeous in muted tones, while Christian Bale continued to prove that he looks hot in any color. Of course, there was one very important star missing but Heath Ledger's family and friends like Naomi Watts were there in his place, while his castmates had plenty to say in tribute to the late actor. Christian said,
"Working with Heath was fantastic. He steals the movie and I'm quite happy to say that. He's a hell of a talent and created a joker that's very iconic and one that will become a classic portrayal of the ages."
While the film's premiere was a bittersweet event, the rave reviews will hopefully make The Dark Knight the box office smash hit that will help honor Heath's memory forever.

i think that this is one of the most hyped/talked about movies out there - and i feel like it would have been even had the events in Jan not occurred. i can't wait to see this movie, and i think that it's so wonderful that the cast is so supportive of each other.

48I am beyond excited for this movie. I am a huge Batman fan and I love Bale's portrayal of him. Not to mention he's absolutely gorgeous. I am also stoked to see Heath's performance as the Joker. I have no doubt he'll do it more than justice.
Someone mentioned it getting a bit cheap bringing up Heath's death over and over again, using it to promote the movie. I kind of agree except it's not the people involved in the movie who keep brining it up, it's the media!
