Kate Moss covered up that bikini body in a few designer dresses, looking more like a businesswoman and less like a wild child on the August cover of Vogue. In the article, Kate showcases both her mature and youthful sides, talking about her reputation and her impact on the many aspects of the fashion industry. Here are highlights:
- On her party girl lifestyle:"I am still acting like a seventeen-year-old. I definitely haven't become middle-aged. I've got a house and a daughter and all that, but I still like to have fun. Even in my business we still have fun."
- On being a designer versus being a model: "I still enjoy modeling, and it inspires me for the other things as well. All that dressing up makes me say, 'What do I want to wear?' and, 'What do I want to do with Topshop?' It all kind of leads into the other things."
- On being a businesswoman: "I like making money, but I don't call people up every day to see how much I've made. As long as I have what I need at the time; I mean, I can buy the house that I want. I am not completely money-oriented."
To see what else Kate had to say about being a mom and designer, just read more.
- On motherhood: "I'm a mum. All the time. Every day. I put my daughter to bed."
- On designing her own line for Topshop: "I would see things that I wore sometimes that designers had copied. So I thought, 'Listen, I could do that.'"
Sounds like Kate wants to make it clear that she's more than just a supermodel, and we look forward to watching her set the trends for the fashion industry for years to come.

Can't wait to get this issue in the mail. Love Kate!
1"I'm a mum. All the time. Every day. I put my daughter to bed"
You're supposed to, Crackhead!
2wow, I love that cover!
3Could you stop calling her a crackhead. Its annoying.
4Kirsten Dunst,Eva Mendes,Naomi Campbell,Melanie Griffith...all went to rehab.
Its sad but a hell of a lot of people take drugs in the movies, modelling and music business.
Btw,Thanx for posting this article and pix sugar !
5hahaha, Alisha_Stiletto! I'm with you.
6Can't stand her. She's got plenty to say about her business and career and one sentence about what kind of mom she is. Nice.
7I don't like Kate Moss and her statements in this interview didn't make me like her any more. She sounds off. That party girl answer was just ridiculous.
8Hey Marlowe, could you stop sticking up for her like your last name is Moss or as if you're on her payroll because THATS annoying.
And I called her crackhead because, well - she is.
And sidenote to ask: Whats said about people in the entertainment industry/modeling industry taking drugs? You dont accidentally snort a couple of thousands of dollars dude.
We all have free will and the ability to make our own choices. Where does pity come in?
9i agree with love angelina.
10yes, do stop calling Cokate a crackhead. she's a snorter.
11I like how she's proud of still acting like a 17 year old. If I knew how to make the smiley rolling on the floor laughing, I would put that here.
12Oh hell. typo in my post. SAID=SAD
13"In the article, Kate showcases both her mature and youthful sides"
14Showcase only, she's not exactly mature if you're acting like a 17 year old.
Yay for a model on the cover of Vogue! (even if it's not for being a model and just for being famous)
15I see nothing fabulous about her or her face.
16i love kate and i love the fact that she's still so relevant. when i was in middle/high school she was at the peak of her runway career as a waif and now that she's older, she's still so successful but in a more mature and business sort of fashion.
17I like Kate as a model. She's very versatile, and she can sell products.
However, with that said, I think her partying lifestyle has a poor effect on her physically. In paparazzi, non-air brushed photos, she looks haggard and rough. I think she smokes, too. All that has taken a toil on her physically, in my opinion. As a highly paid model, I would think she would look after her body better. Her body is a valuable asset. JMHO.
Well, for her sake, thank goodness for photoshop.
18I hate that she says she acts like a seventeen year old like thats a good thing. I'm 26 and am SO glad I don't act like a 17 year old. I act like an adult. Of course drug use is just kinda lame when you are an adult so I see what she means.
19She needs to grow up and realize there's more important things in life than frolicking around and partying.
20"I would see things that I wore sometimes that designers had copied. "
LOL.She has no style she is a Brigitte Bardot copycat.
21I love Kate as a model, she has such a unique and beautiful face. She's simply iconic!
I have no problem with her partying ways, it's just that there are times when she doesn't seem to be much of a mother. It takes more than putting your child to bed. But I hope I'm wrong...
22Thank god an actual model is on the cover, intead of yet another boring celebrity.
23I don't think she looks that good, but that's my opinion only...
24I like making money. stupid cow
25crack head??????
26what is then Amy Winehouse??hahahahaha.
Stupid.
Zephyr, Exactly. I was just about to say that. Alisha_Stiletto has an icon photo of a Real crackhead. hahahaha
27How come she doesn't get over herself yet like Tyra Bank who retired from modeling!? =/
28its a pretty good pic.
29She looks good all airbrushed like that. Much fresher than usual.
Too bad for her daughter to get such a self-absorbed, childish mom.
30mondaymoos: "Can't stand her. She's got plenty to say about her business and career and one sentence about what kind of mom she is. Nice."
ponder this for a second:
if you think about how many men/fathers have been interviewed... and how they are expected to talk about their business/profession and only devote one or two sentences to their children, well, that's perfectly acceptable and pretty common, isn't it? she's one of the most powerful women in her field; i see nothing wrong with her interview focusing on her job rather than her child. vogue is, arguably, aimed at professional, high achieving, fashionable women -- not housewives like some other magazines... i think it's interesting to learn her perspective on her business; i'd rather read that than something like a magazine's latest "jamie lynn has a baby!!!1" article.
or also-- perhaps she shies away from talking about her daughter because she appreciates PRIVACY and doesn't want to give away intimate details of her parenting. how about that? i think it's pretty responsible for a mother to not blab about her daughter to magazines...
and seriously, how can she be called a stupid cow for admitting she likes making money?
31Kate is no longer a good model. Her skin is bad, she looks haggard - she only looks good with major photoshopping these days. And I agree with the above responses - her attitude is maladjusted. I guess having a mom who thinks she's 17 is a good thing? I worry about her daughter.
32I read this after I read the excerpts from Giselle's article. Giselle seems so much more grounded, down-to-earth, and mature. Makes me like her all that much more, and Kate that much less. I feel for the life her little girl is going to lead...
33Hey Geniuses (Zephyr/Royalbluemoss) - Amy *IS* a crackhead. Its called IRONY/SNARK.
Wow. not much gets by you girls eh? LOL
34Alisha, it's hard to hear the truth. No worries, you're absolutely correct. And I for one love the snarkiness. It makes life fun.
If Kate Moss ISN'T a crackhead, then what is she? A crack user? Oh wait, I forgot, the pictures of her doing drugs aren't real. My bad.
35Thanks Mykie! Im glad someone understands me. LOLOL!!
36yea, Alisha_Stiletto, I guess that's why you changed your icon photo.....
