In another super revealing photo shoot, Gisele Bundchen stripped down to the bare minimum for the Fall issue of V Magazine. We knew these photos were coming — but wow, we didn't think it could get any steamier than her GQ spread. As hot as she looks on the cover, in the article Gisele assures us that it's just a role that she plays while also discussing fashion, success, and the rumors about her. Here are highlights:
- On her personal style: "I work in fashion but I’m not really a fashion person. I don’t follow trends. I couldn’t tell you which designer made that shoe or that bag. I like jeans. I like comfortable clothes. I’m all for feeling good in what you wear. I don’t do shows anymore, so I don’t even know who is doing what now. I do my job, which is to make the clothes look like they’re supposed to, and to interpret what the photographer, designer, and stylist want in a picture."
- On how modeling is playing a role: "Yes, look at these pictures. This is Gisele-as-a-super-sexy-punk-rocker-in-ripped-everything. Do you think I would ever wear that? I’m a tomboy and I’m a goofball. Never in my life would I wear anything close to those clothes. After the shoot I take the clothes off, go home, and do whatever I want. For me it’s just a job."
- On her success: "I’m a fortunate person. This job has given me a lot of opportunities—I speak five languages, know half the world, meet very interesting people, and I’m 27 years old and financially independent. So I’m not going to spit on the plate that feeds me. When I go to a job people are relying on me. Everyone—from the hair person to the caterer to the stylist—is there to do a job, and if I screw it up I’m screwing up twenty people’s day. That’s not fair. Who am I to do that? I just do what is expected of me and become the persona they want. When I’m there I’m not Gisele—’cause believe me I have opinions about everything—I’m a canvas. I’ve accepted that."

- On what people think of her: "People will always have an opinion. Some people look at me and say, 'I can’t believe this girl is even working. She should be a cleaning lady.' And then another will say I’m beautiful. If I’m too concerned that one thinks I’m not worth a penny or the other thinks I am, where does that leave me? At the end of the day, it’s about what those people think about themselves. That catwalk wasn’t about me."
- On the rumors she hears about herself, like starring in the next Austin Powers movie: "Oh yes. And I’m the new Bond girl. And I have a clothing line with Dolce & Gabbana. I don’t know where they get this stuff. I called Domenico and Stefano and said, 'Where are my clothes, guys?' They laughed. Same thing with Austin Powers—none of it’s true. And I didn’t ask to be paid only in euros. There was something about me demanding to be paid in euros, which is false. Most of the time, I don’t even know what’s going on."
Gisele may be a self-proclaimed goofball, but it sounds like she's also got a feisty streak in her. Guess we shouldn't be surprised that a model who can pull off photos this hot has some fire in her personality, too.

6Ok. I have done a complete turnabout on this Gisele. I am floored that she would be so humble in her outlook. Granted, I don't know her personally, I admit I did draw unfair conclusions about her. I have always thought she was beautiful, but far too overrated. (That stands).
7If that is really what she says on the interview by herself not manipulated by her assistant or whatever, that's cool and interesting. That sounds very professional and smart. I never liked her but it's good to know that she's not that slutty and superficial as those picture looks like. It's also funny to know she's not that into fashion. That's coooool!

As a model, she seems to have only one look, albeit a marketable one. She reminds me of Cindy Crawford in that way. Cindy had her one look that was successful, too.
Among models, my personal favorite is Kate Moss due to her versatility. She has a great range -- young and fresh to older and sophisticated. A beautiful chameleon. She's a genuine blank canvas.

23My sister-in-law works in an advertisement company here in Brasil and she already made a few commercials with her. She told me that Gisele is an absolutely professional model. She arrives ON TIME, she says "Good morning" to every single person, she doesn't make any weird requirements and specially when it's time to work, she is always ready. That is why she is successful: she has work ethics. Sometimes it's not about who`s the most beautiful model, but about who`s more professional!

25Wow!! Usually her interviews turn me off on liking her, but I love this one. She actually sounds "normal" and not like an over the top egomaniac that most celebs sound like in interviews. It's nice to hear about her work ethic and how she loves comfy clothes!!

she's certainly a business woman and knows how to manage her career that's for sure - i guess that goes in hand with being the highest paid model out there. it's just hard for me to cope with her cause i feel like she's just a model - and doesn't really do much else. she would vacation with Leo when they were together and now she's just always stolling around with tom. oh well. i don't have to love her i guess - at least she's still relevant to the modeling industry right?

35I've always liked her look and thought she had a cool attitude but this interview has caused me to respect her. She is probably so successful because of her reliability and work ethic (lesson to me, for sure!). Also, I think it's cool she hasn't branched into other fields for work. Why should she? She can have hobbies in her free time, and she doesn't need to prove that she's more than just a model to anyone. She knows she is more than a model, she is a person (with opinions) who models. I envy her self-confidence. She's a refreshing change from all those anxious pleasers ("but I can sing! and act! and perform brain surgery! please, please like me!").
36I never really knew much about Giselle's personality and always put her in the "overrated" category, but after reading this interview I have to say my original impressions have changed of her. She should speak up more often! She seems quite bright and I think it's refreshing to hear from a celeb talk about the work ethic side. This is one of the tackiest photo shoots I've ever seen...there are far classier ways to display the beauty and physique of a woman like Gisele.
48She does seem like a very likeable and all around good person... but I'm in the minority here I think, I don't envy her looks or body. I don't get the hype about her body.
49Anyone who's familiar with Mario Testino's past shoots with Gisele should not be surprized. They're always provocative. Her no nonsense approach to modeling, down to earth personality & joie de vivre made me a fan. I'm glad to see she has not changed. She always deliver the goods. The most versatile model ever.
