At the TCAs this morning the exciting CW panel kicked off with 90210 news that is making us psyched to tune in. Turns out Shannen Doherty will be back as Brenda Walsh! She will guest star as the director of West Beverly's musical production in multiple episodes. As the producer made the announcement the cast was surprised and thrilled with the news.
We knew this was in the works but now that it's confirmed, are you excited about Shannen's return?

10I suppose so, but the show is rapidly turning into the "The first class is old, look at 'em now!" I mean, having SOME of the cast is great, but they shouldn't overdo it if they want the show to be new and fresh. OTherwise all they're going to get is the old nostalgic folks watching like me. If they want new fans they really need a lot more new people.

15Speak for yourself romaniagrl, I myself am pretty damn excited! And there isn't a bunch of originals on the show. Just three, (so far) with Jennie being the only one who is going to be in the majoirty of the episodes. In the commercial previews, it's nothing but fresh new faces.

17i'm actually happy about this turn of events, although i'm not sure how they are going to really be able to tie in the fact that she was in london for all those years. why would she come back to her old high school. i guess we'll just have to find out. i kind of wish that the whole old cast would come back - the originals at least - not the people who came in later in the game.

19I think its a pretty disastrous idea. Not Shannon Doherty returning, but the whole idea of a reunion. I think its going to be pretty ridiculous, none of them are good actors.
Its as ridiculous as the two Coreys (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman) doing a "Lost Boys" part 2. Um, sometimes you just cant go back people.

A. I LOVED Brenda. She was the ONLY reason I watch 90210. Shannen just ruled the school. The fact that she was a brunette (as I am) and got the coolest kid at West Beverly made my day. I know, I know, she lost him, got him back, lost him, got him back and lost him, but those 2 together were just my reason for being back then. Never was a fan of the Dylan/Kelly thing. To me, Kelly was Paris Hilton to Brenda's Nicole Richie. Everything Brenda had, Kelly wanted. Dylan is Brenda's.
B. Having said that, I have no idea what happened on the seasons after Brenda left, because I stopped watching. Kelly was engaged to Brandon, they broke up and then...? Clue me in if you know, please.
C. I think we all need to remember that this show is not 90210: The Sequel. There is a new class at West Beverly, new kids, new parents, and it seems as if Donna, Kelly and Brenda aren't going to be the focal point of the show. So I can't get too excited about too much of it. I just hope that Kelly is not Kelly McKay. I hope Donna Martin leaves as quickly as she came--I liked her as comic relief on the show, but that girl was just soooooo annoying. I hope that Brenda just comes back and kicks butt like she always did!

38Never liked the show in the first place. Tori utterly freaked me out and Shannen was more fun in the Kevin Smith movies. (though her off-centre face always boggled the mind...)

46I'm going to clear up a misconception here.
TORI SPELLING IS NOT COMING BACK. She declined after she had signed up, stating her life had too many "personal issues" going on and she wasn't free to do the show. That's when they brought Brenda back.
47Oh, and I should say that I'm a freakazoid for 90210. In fact, I spent the weekend curled up on the couch (Or as much as I could with my back out) watching Season 4.
