James Van Der Beek posed with a puppet last night after catching a performance of the musical Avenue Q in NYC. We loved seeing James's passionate anniversary celebration with his wife Heather McComb a couple weeks ago, but she didn't make it out for last night's trip to the theater. Instead, James had his mother as an extra special date understudy. With his old Dawson's Creek co-star Joshua Jackson's TV comeback Fringe getting lots of hype, not to mention Katie Holmes's guest starring gig, hopefully Dawson can line up yet another return to TV this season too.

8Hot guy, unfortunately everytime I look at him now I can only picture him as the (hot) psycho on Criminal Minds. That role was creepy (however I loved the episode.)
