The day after The X-Files: I Want to Believe had its big LA premiere, David Duchovny stopped by The Late Show looking handsome in his jeans and blazer. Unfortunately, the movie isn't getting great reviews, including from Buzz — maybe just enjoy the X-Files trivia quiz instead. David didn't talk much about the film, but he had us laughing with his stories of his first Summer job, how he's moving to NYC for the old people, and his son's embarrassingly placed bee sting. Even if the movie isn't a huge hit, we're even more excited to have him back for season two of Californication soon.

I suspect the Sugar office has some kind of dart board system for movie ratings, because the X-Files I Want to Believe got the same rating as Step Brothers. Just another reason why I don't put much stock in the film reviews here. Roger Ebert on the other hand, gives the X-Files 3.5 stars on a scale of 4. FWIW Step Brothers got 1.5).
X-Files fans might want to listen to Roger, because the X-Files movie is actually pretty good movie. Lots more character development than the time constraints of the tv show allowed. I don't want to give away any plot points, but if you like the chemistry between Scully and Mulder, the magic is still there. It's like seeing old friends.
1First of all, David has never looked better!
2Second, don't read the reviews, go see it and make up your own mind. This movie was great. It was an x-file reminiscent of the early days of the show. Not everything had to blow up or get shot at. Just a creepy story for the mind.
These two actors have the best chemistry you will ever see on the big screen. Go and see for yourself.
I wish i had gotten tickets.
3I had such a crush on him in highschool!! I had magazine photos of him all around my bed, and for my birthday (17th) my bf at the time gave me a Mulder doll (from the first x-files movie) WHICH I STILL HAVE IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING UNOPENED.
4i always enjoy watching The X-Files, love it
5Hello David! Love him in californication. Funny + good looks= killer combo.
6Miss the show.
7hes really funny...ps what was the whole alien appearing thing??? i dont get it. did it have to do with the x-files?
8This is another one of those stars who's better looking now than when he was younger, just like Will Smith.
