Christian Bale was a lucky man with his two beautiful girls — wife Sibi and adorable daughter Emmeline — arriving in Japan over the weekend before tonight's Tokyo premiere. While the cast showed off yet another set of suits and dresses, their Batman movie was still firmly planted at the top of the box office. The Dark Knight was no. 1 at the box office again, breaking the $300 million barrier and the record for a film's second weekend. Meanwhile, Bale's co-workers are making sure to clear up any residual rumors about his bad behavior starting with Terminator Salvation director McG who said, "He's the most professional, passionate actor you're ever going to find. I mean it's just that simple. . . . Bale is just all about the work. He loves his wife, he loves his child, he loves being an actor. . . . He wants to come to work prepared."

I am still surprised by how much I loved this movie!
1Maggie's performance..hmm not so much..I didnt see the first Batman so I dont know if she is an improvement from Katie or not..but her acting could've been better
maggie's hairstyle looks beautiful! also, i have to agree with marni7--her performance was lacking. but i guess it was a definite improvement over katie's.
2Only Aaron I like. More bad Bale reports that he's a tortured soul is not looking good. His character is doomed. Maggie is not a pretty lady. She's got bad genes.She made me cringe in the movie making many fans nostalgic over Holmes.

7I like Maggie's look here...she was luke warm in her performance but that's just her acting style...like she could be a stoner, kinda slow with the delivery of her lines, always looks like she's thinking about something...whatever, the movie was great
8I wasn't nostalgic for Holmes at all... I thought Maggie did a way better job. Katie is just so bland, I personally don't think she's a good actress at all, at least not for the big screen.
9I'm surprised Aaron Eckhart isn't getting more of the attention that he deserves, there are pictures of him from the premieres, but it's just like a small mention or just like a little picture.
I saw the movie and she's not attractive and I don't think she will be the next Meryl Streep. Don't know how she's in the movies.
Emmeline is one of my new favorite celeb babies! So cute!

11Good film but its all about the Joker even Aaron Eckhart stole Bale's thunder and I must say Robert Downey Jr. has a lot to offer than serious intense Bale all the time. Offscreen I dont like any of these actors. The Katie-Maggie tradeoff was a disaster.

ok so sibil is such a beautiful woman, but have u guys noticed that she only wears black to the premieres she's gone to so far, dont get me wrong though, those black dresses are beautiful, a little color would help.

It was really the first time I heard her voice or have seen her act. Or maybe it was the first time I was listening...
14well Nolan did say he wanted a real, thinking, smart woman to play the role and compared to many 20-something actresses in Hollywood, Maggie seems to be the only one that naturally can bring that on a movie. (well maybe for Eva Green as well).
and the way i saw the film is that both Bruce/Batman and Harvey Dent are the kind of men that want a woman that has something more to offer than what she looks like. they want someone who is their equal yet challenges them. and i thought maggie brought that.
imagine Katie Holmes trying to bring that on the movie. yikes.
but then again i am bit a biased.

I thought it was so sweet what McG (the director of the next Terminator movie) said about Christian, it proves that he is actually a great guy despite the crap that has recently been written in the press that says otherwise. Here was McG's full quote, in case you guys didn't read that paragraph above:
Today during a Comic Con press conference, the Terminator director McG addressed rumors of misconduct saying, “Just for the record, he’s a big hearted good guy.”
McG went on to say, “I’m delighted to speak about Christian…He is the most professional, passionate actor you are ever going to find. I mean it is just that simple…Bale is just all about the work. He loves his wife, he loves his child, he loves being an actor. He’s not interested in materialistic things. He wants to come to work prepared.”

Maggie was no improvement from Holmes. I rather have Holmes who fits the part and she's more convincing as Bruce Wayne's love. It was weird to see Katie and Aaron getting it on Thank you for Smoking so even Katie sizzled with Aaron while Maggie failed.

17But you missed the interview where Nolan said He was really unhappy that Katie dropped out of the project but he's acceptant that these things happen so he opted for Maggie.
18Maggie played the role better than Katie, but Katie pulls the look off better. Maggie is so incredibly plain. All of the acting was great in the movie though and I really hope the Dark Knight sinks Titanic's record.

19Saw the movie last night. I really liked Maggie in the movie and I did not think Katie did that great before. Who cares anyways...Heath as the Joker gave me goosebumps and it has been awhile since I have seen such a creepy and brilliant performance...unbelievable and what a great loss.

23To be fair,Katie is the better actress and beauty for Batman. Mags is woefully miscast same way Im dreading Maria Bello replacing Rachel Weisz in Mummy 3. Mags site was shut down by New York police,fire dept. and families of Sept.11 because she said America did reprehensible things,America deserves it and was behind 9-11.
