Shia LaBeouf is recovering from a pretty scary weekend after his big car accident. He is facing misdemeanor DUI chargers, and after "extensive" hand surgery he will apparently be out of commission on the set of Transformers 2 for the next month. A friend of Shia's claims that he'll take the whole thing very seriously and won't let himself continue to spiral out of control, but it wouldn't be the first time Shia has shown remorse for his bad behavior. So what do you think — will he finally learn his lesson?

Well I hope so. If not his whole career will go KAPUTZ!
i really hope so too
but then again he is a a former disney star..sh*t
disappointing! (I voted yes-but I'm not so sure)
LOL Justingirl, I think there's a curse behind most of the Disney grads.
Well his dad has an addiction problem (clean and sober now) so I'm sure Shia struggles with addiction issues. For him it probably isn't as easy as just deciding to change.
I hope he does. He is too talented to throw it all away. Wishing him nothing but the best!
I am very disappointed with young hollywood! They make so much money you would think that they could hire drivers so they would not get into trouble!
My sister is in love with him and i really like him, he really needs to get it together.
If he really wants to stay out of trouble, I'm sure he's capable--in his case, it's mostly just "DON'T DO BONEHEADED SH!T LIKE DRINK AND DRIVE"--but since he's been in trouble before and is at it again, I sort of doubt this new resolution's going to stick.
Shia is hot but he’s kind of stupid so I’ll say he has a few more run-ins with the law before he learns his lesson.
its not hard!!!!hes got all that money-get a driver if your out drinking!!!!geeeeeeez!!!!!!!!!!fecking bonkers
so true rosa..so true
I hope he gets his stuff together, he seems to be an actual talent..I hope he does not waste it
He's an alcoholic, no matter how much he denies it. He probably needs to go to rehab a few times before it sticks. What a shame.
maybe - i think that he's falling in to the same trap that a lot of young hollywood ppl deal with. it's lucky that all that happened was that he has to have hand surgery - he could have been killed or hurt someone else just as badly. i just hope that this is a wake up call. he's too young to let his life spiral down now
i hope he learned his lesson. i dont want to see him in rehab and all that. i think that hes better than all of that. hopefully this was his reality slap.
I doubt it. He's a young kid that thinks he's invincible, and right now he's got the world by the tail. I may be wrong, and hopefully he will. But the new young Hollywood seem to have no sense of right & wrong.
i'll never understand celebrities that drink and drive. if i ever become rich, the first thing i'm doing is hiring a driver. i just don't really like driving in general but i would love to go out a drink knowing i have a guaranteed ride home. hopefully he learns his lesson.
Young Hollywood needs to get a grip. The End.
Until his butt smacks rock bottom, I see more antics.
So many young actors can replace him on Transformers 2.
he's got some pretty high profile mentors; someone needs to take him under their wing. Not everyone in "young Hollywood" is doing this kind of stuff!
Seems to me like fame really went to his head!
Hopefully, for the sake of his career, he smartens up!
ohhhhhhhhhhh my pooor husband loL! ....
get your sh*t together.. or you will end up like others....
I hope so. He has the potential to be a great actor but unless he gets his head out of his rear, it's not going to happen.
I just love him. I don't care what he does.
I have no tolerance for people who drink and driver ESPECIALLY when they have enough money to hire a driver...
I've liked some of the interviews he's done and he seemed like a decent person but I have to say: Actions speak louder then words!
This makes me sad..I like him alot, but I want to hit him for this one...I hope he really wasnt drunk. I have no tolerance for that, um, hire a driver..His passenger let him drive??
Hm...IMO these stars make millions of dollars..and they can't afford a cab to go home or have a manager or a friend to pick them up?!

As much as everyone seems to glorify him, I think he's just another one of Hollywood's rich, spoiled brats who will never really clean up their life no matter how much they pretend they're trying to.
gross i've lost all respect for him, there's no excuse for endangering and potentially killing an innocent life
you have to hope so. because he has proven that he has the ability to be a top actor for years to come.
get your sh*t together.. or you will end up like others.... damn you shia.
btw, his passenger seems to be isabel lucas his co-star on TF2. Now.. I don´t fuel rumors, or even start them, unlike many idiots, but.. what was she doing with him at nearly 3.00 a.m!? I´ll leave you with that question. cause according to this so called "sources" at US weekly, he left the club alone.
I think he'll at least try. I'm sure it makes it a bit harder since his dad had a problem, and I think fame is f*cking with his head. But hopefully, he will wise up
.
i voted for maybe. i am seriously hoping he does - he is very talented and has a lot to offer the world of entertainment
i hope so. he is doing so well in his career, i really hope he doesn't fall in the lilo category and just become known for things outside of his career rather than his movies.
Maybe - I certainly hope so because he is a great actor.
It always surprises me when stuff like this happens to him b/c he seems to make a point in interviews to be all "I don't do things like other Hollywood stars in the public eye" and then he goes and gets arrested for DUIs and being drunk in a Walgreens and it's like "Oh really, Shia?"
wat an ass
Totally disappointing. It's not that hard to stay out of trouble and NOT get a DUI. I agree with LaLa...he always talks about how he's "not like that" and can stay out of trouble. Well, guess not.
he didn't learn the first time
