Not suprised. What is suprising to me is how she introduces her child to all of the men that flow in and out of her life. I would want to be sure about a relationship before I involved my child in it.

Piper23 I think the same thing. They didn't have great track records and I couldn't believe that ALL of their kids were involved - his kids too. I feel really bad for both of their kids...

I am not surprised at all! But it was a bit shocking seeing they were hanging out with each other's kids so much..I thought they'll stick together until at least the end of the summer

Lance is just as bad,he kept Cheryl Crow "waiting" for a baby until his career was definitely over,and then -Big surprise- he dumped her instead of starting the family shed been longing to have.(Then she disovered that she had breast cancer,but thats an other story).
In the end both Owen and Cheryl are happy (but not together !! lol),thats all that really matters!

no. not surprised. saw them in san jose a few weeks ago at the livestrong challenge. she did the walk, he did the ride. pre-ride they both seemed chipper. post ride there was a little ceremony that not only was he late to (it was a couple hours after he finished), but she seemed, i don't know, a little mopey. was just standing off to the side by herself texting.

honestly? i think they're 2 adults and can do what they want as long as no one gets hurt. i do wish they'd leave the kids out of it, though.

i feel really strongly about what lance and the LAF do for supporting those with cancer. it is a shame that this kind of thing seems to take the attention away from that.

This had "fling" written all over it from the beginning. The nice way to put it would be that both of them are just too "free-spirited" to settle down for long with anyone else.

I think she should be single for a while. Not really dating but just focusing on her kid and her career which she does already. She got married at a very young age. Still I love her with Chris from the Black Crows.

I keep thinking back a few years to when she was interviewed on the View and talked about how grounded she was and how her love with her husband was lasting and she wasn't a typical starlet. Ha...

The only thing I was surprised about was that they involved their children in the relationship so much seeing as their split was so inevitable.

see i think that a lot of people aren't surprised by the news, but i figured that anything's possible. i just hope that kate figures something out. see in my eyes, i think that she's going to get back with her ex hubby - cuase even though he's dating someone - they are always so nice to eachother and they seem like a really good couple - even now. it's got to be hard to be a celeb in the public eye all the time with everyone photographing your every move. let's just hope that things straighten out for both of them in the love dept. and hope that lance doesn't rebount with an olsen again. that was just weird!

Seriously NOT suprised at all..However, I am surprised they introduced their kids so soon into their quickie relationship..Having them all together out & about like a big happy family unit..How disruptive for their children-not good parenting skills by Kate in my opinion-it seems she's always got her latest fling carrying around her son on their shoulders..Sorry I was always team Chris Robinson can you tell??

Wow - pretty strong opinions on a person that I doubt most of you have met personally. How is a relationship that lasted 3 months considered casual, a quickie or bed hopping? I usually ignore these "relationship polls" since I don't think any of us know enough TRUE information to really have an informed opinion, but these responses are really over the top to me. Cut her a break. She is young and trying to live her life just like the rest of us.

agree w/ most comments she seems to be going through a late-teens (college-age) sort of phase but in her late 20s/early 30s and with a child she foolishly brings into the mix at every turn ... who would have thought the hippie rocker dude (who by all accounts is a great guy) would be the more grounded of these two??

she will make a 'cute couple' with anyone she's with, she's a ridiculously beautiful girl ... but maybe she should take down the public-ness of it all for the sake of her rep, her child and potentially her career
