Mary-Kate Olsen looked like she stepped straight out of the early '90s on Tuesday, heading to the Neil George salon with a flannel shirt wrapped around her waist. She's always been in the know about style and while plaid is back in a big way, we're not so sure about those gladiator sandals. On the bright side, she and Ashley look gorgeous on the newly revealed cover of their coffee table book, Influence that will be released this Fall.

What in the world is she wearing
i love this girl but more than not i question her fashion choices. it's just baffling because she's so gorgeous with a little bit of effort...i.e. not wearing craziness like this.
the clothes are probably worth thousands of dollars, but she manages to look like a mess.
For some reason I love it! Maybe it's cause I just love the 90's... I think this look works for her
smells like team spirit

Eww!
She looks something like the female twin of Johnny Depp!
Haha!
With that shirt hanging like that!
But still,Johnny is way better!
I'm sorry, but I will NEVER be caught wearing flannel!!! This is another trend that'll be passing me by. (Like leggings! Uhk!)
She's a freak
another day, another stupid outfit
Why she is considered a "fashionista", I have no idea. She looks like she's headed to the local mission.
She may be considered a fashionista because she likes mixing up clothes very much, either in a good way or a bad way.A fashionista doesn't mean you know how to dress, knowing what goes with what,a fashionista is also,a woman that likes fashion and makes crazy combinations, like MK.
Corect me,if I am wrong, but this is how I explain all her weird outfits.
WTF??? She always looks like a homeless person
If she went to the homeless shelter she'd get fed.
wtf
Oh MAN! I KNEW I shouldn't have sold my dad's old clothes to that thrift store on Vine.....now look who's wearing them!!!!
OMG! There is a monkey crossing the street!!!!!
criticize her style all you want to but it doesn't change the fact that she's on top of every trend (her and her sister). people end up wearing everything she wears. she was one of the first to bring back gladiators, fringe, and now plaid. and i love that she dresses herself and has her own sense of style unlike other so-called fashionistas (i.e. rihanna. the girl's crazy, gotta love it

MK does her own thing, kudos to her.
So much money, so little taste...
She was not the first to bring back plaid. Plaid was all over the fall runways LAST year. These girls have absolutely no grasp on real style and so attempt to be "quirky" to be set apart and end up looking like idiots. If she was a civilian, she would be featured in Glamour magazine with the black bar across her face.
i love mk but this outfit is just hideous. the plaid shirt almost falling from her waist and the gladiator sandals together is just TOO MUCH.
OMG?!? WTF?!?
what's up with that flannel thing? mess...
that's not working...the grunge look can stay in the 90's [image]http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d19/xdomains/smilies/weed/24.gif[/image]
I admire her, she marches to the beat of her own drummer. A true nonconformist with a sense of self. Very refreshing with all the bull*hit that is all around her. More power to MK.
love her style. she looks great, i think.
@fleurfairy i'm talking about among celebs. runways are the inspiration for a lot of trend recycling so of course it was on the runways way before but she is ONE of (I didn't say she was the only one) the first celebs to bring the trend back to the mainstream
I saw her in WEEDS last night, I think she's a horrible actress.
I live in San Antonio and for the past 10 yrs plaid has been in by the men and women. LOL She's not starting any plaid trend, it's been here for years and years.
Yeah, I'm from Seattle WASH and Plaid has been in here for as long as I can remember. I've always viewed Mary Kate as what NOT to wear if you want to look hip.
