Amanda Peet celebrated her new Gotham Magazine cover last night at the Plaza Hotel in NYC, and we were lucky enough to attend the event! The actress walked in holding hands with her longtime BFF Sarah Paulson — they go all the way back to their Jack & Jill days — looking cute and animated. Check out how to get Amanda's look here. We got a chance to chat with both of the sweet and down-to-earth women, who drank lime margaritas and mingled with the crowd during the cocktail hour. Even though Sarah commented about how sad she is that her last show with Amanda, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, was canceled, the ladies are clearly having fun as friends until they get to be costars again.

4I honestly don't find her to be all that good looking. Tilda Swinton often (ok ALWAYS) takes risks with her makeup, but I find Swinton to be absolutely beautiful...Peet...mmm, not so much.

6She apparently was trying to achieve the chintzy Covergirl frosted eyeshadow look. She ruined her best feature. She should have just stuck to maxing out her lashes w/ mascara, following up w/ a neutral gloss and calling it a day.
I think she is an attractive woman. Though she doesn't scream sexy with her goofy personality or her awkward choice in clothing. I've never seen an outfit of hers I would want for myself. She never seems to wear clothing appropriate for her figure or her age.
7This is probably karma for those silly comments she made about parents who don't vaccinate their children.
8Aw I love Amanda Peet. This isn't her best look but I think she's gorgeous in her own right. And she's hilarious.
9Looks like she had a bad makeover from a glamor shots trainee. That make-up looks like an 80s Cosmo cover and the dress is just a mess. However, I do actually like her. Just not liking this look.
10She is natutally pretty and doesn't need all the makeup she has on.

26I think it's the bangs. They don't work on everyone and they certainly don't work on Amanda. I just read the Gotham article and I have to say, I'm really impressed with her. She seems very bright.
And I totally remember Jack & Jill! I was so bummed when it went off the air.
