With two new babies in the house getting lots of attention, it would be easy to believe that Maddox's seventh birthday might have gone by without a big celebration, but instead it looks like the eldest still got some special b-day fun yesterday. Mad and Brad hit the local go kart track for a day of racing with each other — so cute — and some man time away from all the other kids. We all ooh-ed and aah-ed over the first look at Knox and Vivienne, but it's still so adorable to see little Mad and his punk hair hanging out with Daddy. Happy 7th birthday, Maddox!

Looks like they had a good time. Bet they had cake and more fun at home.
I don't like Maddox hair, but he probably wouldn't like mine either.
1Holy Cuteness! Love the Brad Dad!
2What cuteness, all their kiddies are equally adorable!
3hooooow cute!
4I saw the spread yesterday in People Mag and I gotta say I was disappointed. The photos were def not worth 14 million. I thought that Pax looked like he was a "throw away" child. He looked much better BEFORE they adopted him. Now he has hair that's longer than Shilo's, a blonde streak in it that has damaged it to where it looks like straw, and his finger nails were painted. I just got a feeling of "WOW" when I saw him. I read where he has anger issues, so I don't know. I just know he was such a cute little boy in the orphanage and now he looks like a street kid. I know there are people that are gonna give me flack about having an opinion but get over it. It's not like I'm the first person to ever say anything "negative" on here.
5It's nice that Brad made time for Maddox with the new twins. I worry about them collecting kids.
6I wonder where Pax is? I would think he would be chomping at the bit to drive some go-carts with Daddy and older brother.
7I thought Pax looked like a 4-year old boy. His skin is way darker cause he's out playing in the sun, I guess he didn't feel like wearing a shirt, his sister's got their nails painted so he prob said why not, and he probably wanted some hair-dye like his big bro.
But my mom said the same thing about the blonde streak in his hair.

Ditto on Maddox's hair. I just don't know why they mess it up like that. He seems like he's too quiet of a kid to be a rebel and demand that his hair be cut and colored to extremes like that.
9Yes, speaking of Pax. He did seem to be the odd man out in the photos. He was kicking at the camera and he just seemed like "I want out of here" Just my opinion though. When I saw the photo of him holding one of the twins I got the impression it was the first time he had held it, I know I'm probably wrong, but it's the way he was looking at it, like it was the first time he had seen the baby up close.
10Poor pax I'm sure he was old enough to go but then again it was maddox day, why would any normal parent dye their childs hair at 6 yes he was 6 when he got his hair that color, I too see something off about pax honestly the ones that looked the most loved are maddox and zahara, just my observation I could be wrong which I hope I am even shiloh looked off the only ones that looked in place was maddox and zahara in those pictures from people magazine that were provided by a poster
11"the most loved" pinkprincess, really? I could feel the love in the pic with Shi, Ang, and the twins and also the last pic with Z, Ange, Brad, Pax, and the twins.
12It was a flipping observation an OPINION my OPINION meaning it is not a FACT
13Okay don't get upset.
14I know it was Maddox's day, but still, I've always grown up having my family celebrate my birthday with me, not by myself, what's the fun in that? That's why kids invite friends over.
Also, I'm surprised no one is saying anything about Maddox wearing eyeliner in the People photos. I saw where they tried to take photos that sort of hid the fact he was wearing eyeliner. I just don't get that, along with painting Pax's fingernails. I have 2 brothers and from an early age they NEVER wanted to do anything like having their fingernails painted, hair colored, etc. I really don't know if it's the boy's idea, I just can't imagine a boy that would want to wear eyeliner, color their hair, and have painted fingernails. Maybe it's AJ's way of making them appreciate their feminine side, but I really think that she's taking it too far. I read a book once about a little boy who grew up to be a homosexual and he attributed it to his mother (who was mentally ill) always dressing him in dresses. He said he was made to feel feminine even when he knew it was unnatural, then after doing it for so long he couldn't go back to being normal again. Just saying, some things are better left being "normal".
15People do need to realize that this is a blog and it's for OPINIONS. Not all opinions will be the same, and thank goodness for that! Imagine how boring it would be to read the exact same old things. People do need to respect that we all have different opinions. We all have different perceptions. Where Pink doesn't see the love, she may be picking up on some kind of tension in the photo, and wadewifey may be seeing something in "the love" in ways someone else doesn't. It's all going to be different, and really don't call someone out because you don't agree with them. Just because you could see something WADEWIFEY doesn't mean that's the way it truly is, and vice versa.
16I personally think is wonderful that Dad had a chance to spend an afternoon with his son. It was Maddox's birthday a special day. I clearly remember when I was seven and I certainly would not want my little sister tagging along on my special day. My parents were smart that way, they knew. My brothers, sisters and I played beauty parlor and we created a mess with our hair and eyebrows, our Mother would go crazy. Hair dye was not in the menu at that time. Now let's see: you are four years old and you are constantly followed by photographers with flashing bulbs all of the time everytime. Now they are in your home? How would you feel? Remember you are four years old and the name is PAX. I'm sure his parents did not discuss why the photographers are there. I read somewhere that Maddox despises the paps and that is from the time he was very young.
17I'm not upset wadewifey but thats when crap starts and people start spinning things, I agree strawberry I have two brothers and they would never ask nor allow it I hadn't notice the eyeliner
18whoa whoa whoa!! i KNOW for a fact that people have different opinions. And i was stating mine, so respect that!1
19Preach it strawberry yes we all need to agree to disagree and move on
20A boy not wanting his little sister to tag along is one thing, but your brother who AJ says is inseparable with Maddox and is his "shadow" seems weird that the "boys" did not want to bond and share this boy time on his special day. Like some other readers it just seems weird to me. But, to each his own. For a family who proclaims to do "everything" together, you would think they wouldn't pass up an opportunity for the boys to hang out on such a special occasion. AJ even said they were best friends.
I know all about having special time, and the importance of it. But it's his birthday, and that is a time for celebration not separation.
21Yes PinkPrincess I agree wholeheartly.
I wish people wouldn't spin things too. It can get so out of hand when that happens.
22well here's my wholehearted opinion. mad prob. wanted some alone time with his pop with 5 bros and sisters at the house. he prob had a big party at there house yesterday and this was an extra treat. there 7 and 4, they prob don't know eyeliner and nail polish is "feminine". hair dye won't kill them, if they don't like anymore they can always dye it back or cut it off.
23Strawberry, we my sisters and I painted all of my(3)brothers fingernails. Let me assure you they are not gay. I guess is how you are raised. We grew up in Europe and traveled alot. Our Father was a diplomat. We made our own fun. Maybe that is what going on there. IMO I don't think they need to be in touch with their feminine side at this age. IMO they are finding out about themselves as people first. Pax was 3 when he was adopted I'm sure there are plenty of adjustmemts for him and for his parents specially in the world where they live, it's only been 1 year since was adopted.
24Are we looking at the same magazine Maddox is NOT wearing eyeliner he is only in one picture holding Vivianne. Homosexuality does not happen because your Mother decided you should wear dresses (unless you are a girl of course). I wore my brothers hand-me-downs and I'm very sure I'm not a lesbian. You are what you are no one can make you something you are not.
Wadewifey that probably was the case they had a big pachanga (party) at home on his actual day and now it is maddox and daddy time, back to the painted fingernails and eyeliner if all of the world is going to see this and label your children you would think they would keep that private, that's just me and my up bringing
25I can't help but feel some degree of pity for Maddox. Too many children in too short a time. No one has had enough one-on-one time with their parent. Rather than the kids seeming to be closer toward one another, it's more like competition for mom and/or dad's undivided attention. Sure don't want to be around these kids when they become teenagers!

all due respect, wearing your brother's hand me downs, and being forced to wear a dress when you're a boy are 2 totally different things, PLEASE. Women wear pants more than dresses, but dresses are totally a female thing, you can't compare the two. I don't know the book/story that Strawberry is referring to but I do know Hemingway's mothers made him wear dresses until he was 10 and he said in is book it devastated him. As far as you saying being made to wear dresses can't make a boy gay, I think it's pretty messed up of you to say that's because 1. you don't even know his situation and what he went through and 2. How could you make that assumption about anyone you don't even know and there is no scientific proof what causes someone to be gay or not. It is proof that cross dressers were introduced to wearing women's clothing at an early age. It's neither here nor there because I hope Angie is not making the boys wear fingernail polish, eyeliner, or getting their hair colored strange colors. I hope it's just a game not a way they want to live. IMO.
Getting together and painting fingernails, Ok, I guess if that's what YOUR family did, but my dad, bothers, or my son would never do that because to them it just wouldn't be fun. They are more of the outdoors men and doing things with sports and such is what they call fun. In no way shape or form would they ever do the fingernail and eyeliner thing.
I have the mag and I now I do see the eyeliner that Mad is wearing it's the one of him holding one of the babies, he's looking down and yep he's wearing eyeliner. Wouldn't be the first time, there are several photos taken over the years with him wearing eyeliner though.
28YES, I see Mad wearing eyeliner. Page 64 of People Magazine. Little boys eyes do not have a natural dark line like that on their eyes. Lower lid.
29so guyliner is cool!
30Happy birthday to Mad!
31He is enjoying his special time with Daddy.
The People photoshoot was beautiful. I think Pax has a wild nature LOL, Mad is more contemplative, Shi is just luminous and Z is a real princess. And of course, Angie looks so pretty and natural and Papa Pitt looks very handsome.
Congratulations to the Jolie Pitts, they are gifted and I think they know that.
No way is guyliner and blue dyed hair cute on such a little child. I thought that the kids looked messy (except Zahara in her pretty princess dress in one of the pictures) and unkempt in the People spread. It seems like the parents want the kids to each have a cool and unique vibe but pax def needs a haircut and they are just too young for it.
32Aww Mad is such a cutie. It's nice that they take time out to spend individual time with each of the children.
33I would imagine they had a big party at the estate since all of the extended family is there.. the only ones not present is apparently the paps in camo hiding in the hills to illegally snap the picture proof and sell it to us..
B and A said they try to spend one on one times with the kids.. this must be Maddox and Brad's post birthday one on one.
And actually when it comes to favorites.. Pax and Brad seem to be together a lot.. whether on the snow slopes, at the new orleans construction site, on the beach along the shore line, next to Brad on the yacht, with Brad again at Bono's house... Pax and Brad are buddies..
Hard to tell how loved or unloved a child is by a photo.. its maybe 10 minutes out of their entire lives captured by a photographer with intent... the illegal shots of him laughing and running around while Bill and Jane sprayed him with water seemed more telling to me then the posed pictures.
IN MY OPINION.. no one elses... just mine..
34I agree with leilani, I do think Pax seemed a little out of place in the pictures for People magazine. I'm still getting used to the idea that he is in the Jolie-Pitt crew, it just doesn't seem like he has a distinct personality like the other kids but we haven't heard much about him. I have never heard that he has anger issues, though...
Maddox is probably just having some one-on-one time with his dad on his birthday, but he will probably be having a party at home with the rest of the family so people don't need to worry. It's not like we would see pictures of his party if it was on their property in France unless paparazzi try to trespass again. I don't think it's a big deal that they have their toenails painted. My dad used to dress up like a girl when he was little and he is DEFINITELY straight, otherwise I probably wouldn't be here.
35I think it's wonderful Maddox is having some alone time with dad! I have a brother and a sister whom I love to death, I'm nothing without them, but as a kid I sometimes I really enjoyed being very very very far away from them! LOL
All I ever wanted was to be me&my dad! Loving your siblings doesn't mean you have to be with them 24/7...
I hope these kids are as happy as they can be!
As for the colored hair and fingernails, my older sister used to put heavy make-up on me and then take a picture. It was just fun to do that, those kids are just having fun too!
36I found this on Pax's anger issues
US Magazine reported this in April of this year
________________
Maddox: The eldest, 6, "is a little spoiled and out of control," says a source (another catagorizes him as a "loner"). So he and Pax kind of disregard Shiloh.
Pax: The 4-year-old couldn't be more different (than Zahara who is described as a jokester and comedian). Pax is very troubled." says a source who describes him as the "troublemaker" of the family. "They have a lot of anger-management problems with him. He is very rebellious. But no worries, Baby Shihloh is never caught in the fray with her brothers, say a source close to the family. "They are fine with her. They don't taunt or tease her; they just don't interact with her much."
37WoW!! Ur using Us Magazine as your "reliable" source. This is the same magazine that claimed Brad and Angelina did IVF.
38OMG-they have emerged from the house. I wonder if this will be the People cover next week?
39Why is it so important to make it unpleasent experience here? I just don't get that. Its depressiong that the same people call it expression of opinion after they have critic everything causeing everyone to be defensive. I hate it so much and I really have to force myself not to do more than lurk anymore. Its the same thing every thread no matter what and it bites.
40ALWAYS methinks. The first two pleasant and then someone says something to turn it into a negative blog. This posting was about Maddox and Brad's day out and now their talking about painting fingernails, eyeliner, z's hair,Shiloh, being gay, etc. etc. Then if it's a Jennifer Aniston posting, then they drag Brad & Angelina into it. I think Angelina let's her kids have choices in what they wear and their style. I really don't think Maddox was wearing EYELINER,another fabricated story of the Jolie-Pitt's. IVF, Angelina had the babies in MAY, they bought a 70 million dollar estate (renting), PAX was much happier in an orphange, Jane Pitt doesn't get along with Angelina, etc.etc.etc. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!!
41You shouldn't be reading blogs if you have to FORCE yourself to read it, find it "depressing" and you "hate it". Why do you come back? Every blog has it's positives and negatives. It's what makes it a blog. There are some that can handle it and take it for what it is, then there are some
that can't.
Maybe you should take up a new hobby that didn't deal with such a mixture of opinions. Just saying.
42Mills, yes there is negativity, but your negativity towards Brad and Angelina sounds more hate filled, I think that's what she means. Plus, yes this is a gossip blog, but you guys are waaaay off topic, there's other places you can go if you want to discuss each one of their children!!!
43Then go look if you don't think he was wearing eyeliner. Maddox used to wear black fingernail polish when he went to school in New Orleans, along with eyeliner at times.
Google it if you just can't believe it.
I found this pic of him wearing it unmistakeably.

44lol, whatever.
celebrity-babies.com/2007/01/angelina_jolie__3.html
45It makes me sick Methinks. I hate it...but there consist negativity won't get the best of me. It sucks even worse when I see supposed fans participating in the same garbage.
It warms my heart to see Brad and Maddox hanging out. You really see the bond between them. When I ever see them out with their children you see the bond between them all. These children are happy and very well loved. I like Mad's hair, its very clear he has a strong sense of who is and Brad and Angelina seem to encourage that in their children. A sense of self is certainly gonna be important for when they are older. Happy Bday Maddox.
46W.E
47glad that he got his own time to do his thing
48Oh well "methinks2" it is just their right to free and hateful expression. If they can't get their jollies out of slamming Angelina and Brad, then why not go after the children? Why not slam somebody because Maddox goes carting with his Daddy on his birthday. What was that a couple hours? How could that possibly preclude a family celebration before or after?
There is obviously no eyeliner on Maddox in the photos, you can't even see his lower eyelid. MLLS apparently has never seen an Asian child up close but she "read" Pax has anger issues (Where?) MG US Magazine that trashes AJ daily and has one of the foulest comment section on the internet where they wished AJ dead and the twins stillborn. On the day the photos were published they posted a slideshow retrospective of Brad's love life. Bitter much? US magazine has no sources inside the BP/AJ network at all. According to MLLS Pax looked better before he was adopted from the orphanage where they named him after the road the hospital was on where his Mum abandoned him. You think? Really?
AJ never said Pax and Maddox were inseparable. She said Zahara and Pax played together and had made allegiances as they were closer in age but from time to time Pax and MAddox teamed up to be THE BROTHERS aligned against all the rest of the family.
"Yes PinkPrincess I agree wholeheartly.
I wish people wouldn't spin things too.
It can get so out of hand when that happens."
Really? but yet StrawberrryBlonde you want to slam little kids. How's that for "spin?"
Everyone constantly question whether AJ and BP can give their kids enough individual attention then turn around and slam when a parent is 1:1 with one of the kids.
49I'm in agreement with wadewifey3. I really appreciate the fact that you found the source, but I think that Us Weekly is hit-or-miss with its reports, especially in light of its cover story insisting they had IVF although they had no proof except that "twins are rare." Despite the fact that Brad and Angelina have twins on both sides of the family...
