Just a few locks of that "reddish hair" Nicole talked about peeked out of Sunday's blanket as she snuggled up in mom's arms in Sydney, Australia today. Nicole and Keith made the trek home to introduce their new addition to family including this visit to Nicole's sister, but the pressure is on to get photos of the infant since everyone has yet to see her. Yesterday, Nicole and Keith called into a local radio station to talk about what it's like bringing the celebrity baby back to Australia. Here are highlights:
- Nicole said: "She looks like Keith. I think she does. . . She's got a little bit of hair, it's a bit of a reddish tint. . . They say a lot of it (labour) has to do with how your sister and your mother gave birth, so luckily my sister's had four children ... and that was pretty easy for her too. My mum was a nurse too and also she's a midwife so we were surrounded ... but we also had wonderful nurses at the hospital. I'm embarrassed now. That's too much information on a breakfast show. . . Keith and I are both appealing to the press and just to give us a little space so we can walk around Sydney and show the baby our town . . .She's tiny. She's like a doll, she's like a little, little thing."
- Keith said: "Anybody out there who's got kids (knows) it's just a certain kind of feeling that you can only experience when you do it. She's just awesome ... cute little thing. . . I'm not looking forward to having to go on tour and having to leave."
It's understandably overwhelming for Nicole and Keith to be handling all the attention surrounding photos of their baby, but it sounds like they're well prepared to handle it. The whole family must be happy to meet their newest member and Australia's tiny new star.

14I feel so bad for them. They made an effort to ask the paparazzi to stop, they are trying to do what they feel is right for them and the baby and no one is respecting that. Not even me by supporting it by clicking on the post and commenting. I just think that if someone asks them to back off- which I guess technically they aren't in their face, but still- people should listen. I'm sure it's hard to enjoy a new baby when constantly dealing with that. Other celebs want it and love it, so we should just stick with that. They are trying to be low-key, let them be.
And you'd think people would learn by now, a baby looks like a baby, not all that interesting for the first few months. Even Brad and Angelina's babies were pretty generic and could've belonged to anyone, so why the rush. Give it time and one of these days we'll see a cute smiley cherubic face with two glowing parents.

dancingnancy, I agree about the Scientology thing. He had them call Katie Holmes mom, but never insisted he call their adopted mother mom? Okay, that's messed up! She said she tried with them, but they never took a liking to her. That's really not her fault.
Also, I'm really proud of her for not selling her daughter's pictures. I doubt she would have made more than Jessica Alba or Matthew M, but at least she's starting on the right foot by shielding her baby from the cameras.

But it was more story-worthy to just say they just call her Nicole and compare it to Katie's quote about them calling her mom.

Just the way life is, so whoever was going off about why her and Tom couldn't have kids together, she did get pregnant and miscarried. 41I still say: children should call their adopted parents mom/mommy and dad/daddy, and also have the option of calling their new mother mom or by her first name. As their parent, Tom should have taught them the difference between the mother that helped raise them, and the new mother that just came into their lives. It seems disrespectful to Nicole that they sometimes call her by her name. I also read in an interview that it hurts her (The interview where she opened up about her miscarriages.), straight from her mouth.
42I agree, Silverlining. It's disheartening to read people saying that Nicole doesn't love her adopted children because they aren't photographed together 24/7 or because she now has a biological child as well. I think that Scientology is the reason she and Tom broke up and it's the reason she can't be with her children. Anyone who says that she's not with them by choice is out of their mind. That's a really harsh assumption to make about someone.
