With Ben out of town, it was a girls' weekend for Jen and Violet around LA. The ladies were all over lunching with friends in Pacific Palisades, shopping and enjoying the gorgeous weather in Malibu. Violet sported the "it" dress of the season for celebrity babies to go with those always-adorable dimples. After a very lengthy house hunt, now that the family has a new $16 million home to call their own the Garner-Affleck crew has some time to nest before baby number two.

you know that they have to be super relieved that they are done house hunting- it was a long endeavor - but i'm sure that the space will pay off. i love seeing jen and her little girl together and i can't wait to see baby #2
1Won't be long and Jen'll be in there doing the Nursery all up. I'd love to see what her Nursery looks like. I'd bet it's cute, fun and unpretentious.
2Violet is adorable
3violet is a cutie!
4Violet looks bald in the first pic...so odd.
5OMG! When is she going to stop carrying Violet around? That little girl is perfectly normal to walk around. Garner needs to get a clue. Anytime we see her in pics, shes carrying her around.
Doesn't she know she's preggers??????????
6Thanks Libragirl. I was just wondering the same thing but didn't want to seem like a witch. Can't the kid walk already?

8I saw her and Violet walk into the cafe where I was eating breakfast on Saturday and thought how nice it was that there were no lurking paps outside.....until I got back into the car and spotted a few men several yards away with long lens cameras. They are relentless!
9When i said that the kids needs to walk i get attacked. whatev.
10tennis shoes again....UGGGHHHH!!
11come on, jen....i am pregnant 22 weeks pregnant and i can still manage to put on some stylish shoes that go with my outfit!
Violet looks like a 4 yr. old. The child has some serious feet on her. Thus far, I don't care for Jen's pregnancy style (cargo pants and clunky running shoes). They can afford a 16 mil abode, go purchase a decent pregnancy wardrobe.
12What the heck does it matter if she carries her daughter or lets her walk people? I mean really. With all the loony bins out there, I carried my kids as long as I could too. Not only that, they're only little for so long, and some Mom's enjoy carrying their children as long as they are able for just that reason.
13I'm not a mom but I really believe I'd want to hold my kid as close as possible when walking through a pack of paparazzi like that. It's like instinct--> so they don't get singled out from the herd!
14I love that long dress on Jen but those pants - I swear to God I've seen Ben wearing them. I hope when they move, the movers lose all their running shoes and baggy pants.
15boring...
16She dresses like a friggin bag lady.
17We keep having the same conversations over and over on Jen's posts. I believe she carries Violet not because she can't walk, because come on people, she can obviously walk!!! She carries Violet to protect her from the paps who hoard and crowd around them. She obviously does not trust the pack of wolves who are only interested in taking pictures of her and could careless about the safety of Violet. Wouldn't you do the same or would you be so casual about throwing your child in harms way?
18Violet is always smiling around!! What a cutie!
19Shannolyn I agree
20and Violet is the cutest thing!
I can't wait to see the new baby
Come on Le Etiana, lots of celebrity children walk on their own and aren't smothered by paps.
21hmweis, you're right, but those are ALSO not Jennifer Garner. Unlike other celebs, Jen doesn't travel with a huge entourage of body cards. Posh and Becks for example, have body guards that keep the paps quite a distance from them so the kids can walk safely. Same for Mangie and her kids. Jen however has just herself to protect little VI, so she carries her. Period.
22Gwen Stefani doesn't carry her son everywhere and they're constantly getting smothered!
