Finally a pic of her not covering her ears or hiding.. I can just imagine how crazy it can get with the paps and fans shouting your name with requests, etc and a multitude of flashbulbs flashing simultaneously -- in your face. Must be very scary, annoying, and so confusing for a child as young as she is.

The reason I hate skinny jeans: If it can make emaciated looking Katie's thighs look like that, imagine what it does to us normal folk?
Anyway, just want to add that people are really fickle. When Brit was acting like a total looney, endangering her sons lives, the world had their say. Now we have an example of a great mom in Katie and people bash her all the time. It's sad that more than half the world's population have succumbed to this type of behaviour, must be all those junk reality shows, that make people feel worse about themselves....tut tut...

I think it's great that Katie and Suri spend a lot of time together. But I've seen so many photos, especially recently, that I wonder why it's so newsworthy?

Rocococo I hate it to. I call it the Simeon Cawell syndrome. He was so mean on AI but he was the most popular judge and while he may have been right a good amount of the time, it was his constant snark that made him famous. People have adopted that. They are twice as mean and unnecessarily blunt about somethings. Just plain rude.

I think Katie looks real casual and she loves spending time with her daughter. The pic of them in the sunlight is so pretty.

ahhhh -YES !! now i know where they are playing. i've been trying to figure out where they go all the time, and now i see that they were at least at chelsea piers yesterday. it's so much fun there!

anyway, i'm sure that they aren't overly upset about tom's part going in another direction - and to be honest, i'm sure that he was part of that decision to walk away from it - but i guess there will always be chatter right?

I agrre with the above posts that it is crazy when you cannot even go to the playground without a media frenzy. This applies not only to Katie and Suri but a lot of the other mom/dad celebrities and kids.

It has got to be miserable being a child of a celebrity with flash bulbs going off constantly in your face. I think what I notice about Suri more than any other kids is that she if often out in the evening with her parents and so the flash bulbs are even more entrusive.

Maybe I'm just on one today but perhaps these kids would be better off not being subjected to this kind of stuff day after day. Maybe it would be better to have private places for her to play, out of the prying eyes of the paps. I don't know what the solution is really, I guess I would be tempted to take my child out of the public eye altogether, even at the risk of being called a strange parent.

Le Etiana, I so agree with you. The problem is, a couple of months back, there were several weeks when there were NO "suri sightings" at all, the the speculation ran Rampant. These celebs (ANY of them, whether I like them or not) really can't catch a break. I'm guilty of it to. If they're with their kids in public all the time they get "OMG, how could you keep that child out in the public eye like that! What kind of parent are you?"

Or, they get

"What kind of parent doesn't spend more time with their kids! What kind of parent are you letting the Nanny do all the work."

I'd be willing to bet that 90% of people commenting on these blogs have done that same thing to people, maybe even without realizing it. I know I have.

Poor Suri! Everytime I see her she is hiding her face and clinging to her mom like she's terrified. The paps must be so scary for her.

Somehow Jennifer Garner and Violet manage to always look like they're not even being hounded by the paparazzi. Violet looks so well adjusted and happy all the time. But poor Suri looks scared at times, and I don't blame her.
