Nicole Richie headed into her weekly driving class earlier today with her usual cup of Starbucks coffee in hand. She's at home in LA for the moment while Joel tours the East Coast with Good Charlotte. At least the temporary separation has given them the chance to catch up with some pals — Joel hung out with Mary-Kate Olsen after a show in NYC last night, and Nicole met up with her friend Vanessa Traina earlier this week. Even though their family is apart for a bit, we know Nicole, Joel and Harlow are all about catching up over a nightly iChat.

24she's always adorable and i like the look with the red shoes - that's my style - putting in a pop of color to a 'normal' outfit. i wonder if she'll ever be done with her traffic school stuff.
as for hanging out with friends while joel is out of town and vice versa - it's nice to be able to catch up with people sometimes - and hopefully nicole's not the jealous type to worry about who he's with and when.
