Lindsay Lohan has been trying to keep a lower profile recently, but she made an exception to defend her little sister Ali after rumors that the 14-year-old had undergone a breast augmentation. Taking to her MySpace blog, Lindsay tried to clear the air — and she also took the chance to send a little love to Samantha. Grammar and spelling are all hers. She said:
"i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. so, here's the visual... me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me... one of them being, "Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my response simply was, "Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!" i was caught out of nowhere so i didn't really come up with the proper response at the time.. there's many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!"

Lindsay's no stranger to body speculation herself, so it's understandable that she would want to protect her sister from being under that microscope. There's nothing like having a protective big sister around, especially as the targets of so much media scrutiny.

In a matter of a couple of WEEKS almost teenage girls can go from "boy" bodies to voluptuous curves. It happens all the time, and often before a girl is even READY for it. In Ali's case, she was likely ready and the first thing it looks like she got was a push up bra.

32It is annoying that people just don't believe women develop their own, natural breasts any more and the fact that Ali has bigger boobs this year than last year is that as a growing, devloping young woman her body is going to change. What is more annoying is that people are scrutinizing women's bodies so closely and that they think it's any of their damn business. There's the old argument that people in the public eye are 'asking for it'... isn't that the same logic given when women are physically attacked? You're out in public wearing clothes so you must have asked for it?
On the one hand people complain that women are put under pressure to look a certain way and that women's bodies are the main focus over their intelligence and that men aren't put under the same scrutiny (all true)... But at the same time it's oh so common to find all and sundry picking women's bodies apart from a photograph taken by a paparazzi and going 'oh she looks so bloated. Why is she wearing that? She's lost too much weight. Her skin is greasy. She really shouldn't have chosen that hair colour. Oh you can totally tell her boobs are fake.' and on and on and on and on...
Anyone who does that is perpetuating judgment of women to fulfill impossible ideals, to feel constantly that they are never good enough. Anyone who does this is as much a part of the problem of body facism and oppression of women as a magazine editor, fashion designer or diet drug pusher.

I am guilty of criticizing celebs from time to time but I don't think saying "hmmm, I don't like that outfit on so and so" is as harsh questioning whether a 14-year-old has implants! Also, I will only criticize a celeb's weight if they look scarily thin because I'm worried about the health of that particular person. The nastiness that you read on this blog is so off-putting sometimes.
Anyways, I have to say that I applaud Lindsay for sticking up for her sis. I know I would do the same thing if I were in her shoes!
