Katie Holmes had a very special companion for her morning walk to rehearsal today — her husband Tom Cruise. The actor finally joined his girls in NYC, and it looks like it immediately put a smile on recently slightly gloomy Katie's face. She also left Tom's jeans for him to wear as the duo grasped hands for the stroll. After another late night out with mom, Suri skipped the trip, but we've got many months of seeing the family in NYC ahead. Meanwhile, Tom's people seem to be on the offensive combating any rumors of career trouble for the actor by assuring us that he already passed on Edwin A. Salt long before Angelina's name came up, while chief execs at United Artists released a statement saying Tom isn't going anywhere after the departure of Paula Wagner. Plus, everyone loves him in Tropic Thunder, right?

7I am amazed at how her style has completely morphed into something new. Last year it was couture and high heels and this year it is boyfriend jeans and flats. Not that changing your style is a bad thing, but her style over the past couple of years has just not suited her. It seems like she was most fashionable and comfortable when she was doing Dawson's Creek and didn't really care about what anyone else thought of her style.

11Last night I watched one of my favorite movies: Interview with the Vampire, and it reminded me just how much I liked...LIKE Tom Cruise. I think hes an awesome actor, his personal life over the years has over shadowed his talent.

Many people and critics love Downey Jr. especially Cruise in Tropic Thunder. I have yet to see the film myself.

i kind of figured that tom would have passed on the role before they would have brought in angie. really - it makes more sense that they had tom in mind and when he decided to pass - they didn't have another guy that could do the role justice so they had to go to a woman.

Wise move by Tom passing on 28th Amendment because he's not the villain. Someone here mentioned Interview with a Vampire and I enjoy him best playing a baddie like in Collateral. While Salt sounds intriguing because I love CIA KGB arcs its so Mission Impossible all over again.

32Some British article I read said its natural for women to dress a bit older when they marry someone older than them they cited Kate Winslet with her director hubby,Holmes,Catherine Zeta Jones and many others. Anyhow both looked radiant and in love.

38She looks terrible. She can't pull off the haircut or the fake happy. At one point in her life she seemed like a happy, bubbly, YOUNG woman. Now she looks old and boring. Did anyone see her on the Oprah spesh about their place? Katie talked in this hushed, quiet, creepy voice. So well behaved. Too well behaved.
I dated an older man once (55 to my 25-I know, it was a bad idea) but anyway, he loved me dearly but was so controlling. He had no idea at all. I'm sure it's the same here. I mean, c'mon people, does anyway want to try and dispute that Cruise isn't a total control freak?

I do know that out of my close female friends that have dated older men, none of them ended up happy even with all the security it brings.
49ok, one of them has married her older bf, but when I was talking to her about my breakup with my older bf, I mentioned that I got tired of him telling me what to do with my career, and she said "We don't really have that problem, because I just do what he says." And she's happy with that.
