Love her latest album! But, she won't get any awards because of her past sins.....but then again, Amy Winehouse would be a contradiction. hmmmmmm

I voted "No", but I really meant, "I don't think her latest videos are her best."

I think her latest album is good, but it's well known that she did very little writing on that. All props should go to the producers.

I'm totally pulling for Brit and am thrilled to see her taking control of her life again. However, that video is really nothing special. If it wins, it would really discredit the VMA's.

Let’s think about it this way:

What is a VMA; it’s a video Music Award right? Established in 1984, By MTV. Winners based on the "top" music videos being played. I just went on over to MTV’s Schedule and nary a video was played today, or yesterday, or tomorrow. When are these fabled “videos” being shown? Sure we hear about them, but where do we watch them? Youtube mostly right? Or MySpace. Not MTV, (maybe MTV2 if I am bored) anyway, no one cares anymore, and I don’t think an artist even needs a video anymore to promote their music. They are passé , or at least MTV thinks so.

So If $hitney manages to have a VMA put into her Cheetoh encrusted talons, who cares? Do they mean what they used to, of course not, does it mean she is “back” hardly. The way MTV has embraced reality TV and its skanky “stars” they should just hand out them, give Lauren Conrad to Britney and we wont ever hear from her again.

I have a feeling the only reason they nominated her was to get her to show up, thus boosting ratings.

I'm hoping no, but it'll probably be yes because everyone wants to make her feel better.

i would love for her to win this year - last year was a mess for her and with all the radio play on many of her singles this year - you have to give her credit - people didn't know what to expect and she really did something great.

Umm I chose maybe because I think she will probably win an award even though her videos sucked this past year.

Probably not, but it's a nice positive for her to be nominated.

Who even watches the VMA's anymore? It's not like MTV plays many videos now-a-days...

BTW I voted no. I didn't think the video was that good, or what I saw of it at least.

I'm a huge Brit supporter and really want to see her succeed. BUT...

This is DEFINITELY not her year for videos. They were OK, just average, and not VMA worthy in my opinion. If she receives it, then the public will have done exactly what her "entourage" did for all those years, made ourselves a "YES" group just to please her, and we all know where that got her. As a real fan, I want to see her win, but I want her to EARN it.

I'm just surprised she's never won one! She's had some pretty crazy videos and the past, and perhaps she deserved one then, but she doesn't for any of her new videos. But I did vote Maybe because I can see them giving her one anyways.

I don't think that bad behavior have anything to do with getting a nomination or not. The VMA has a history of bad behavior and outrageous acts...

I can't believe some of the comments here. You don't give her an award just because she's had a bad year and is finally getting better. This is an award based on talent, it's not a Grammy or anything, but it still should only be given to her if she had great videos. AND SHE DIDN'T, especially in comparison to past videos like "Toxic" and "Oops...I Did It Again." "Gimme More" was a horrible video, and the only reason most people liked "Piece of Me" was because it had better editing and it was a vast improvement over her last video, although it still wasn't groundbreaking by any means.

and I think that if fans weren't voting for nominees that she wouldn't have even been nominated, actually.
