After bringing his family to London with him to throw his dad a late birthday party, David Beckham was back on the field yesterday with the national team. He practiced with his fellow footballers before sitting down to get serious. The group got together to support the Stop Knife Crime Campaign where Becks recounted an emotional story about his friend who was paralyzed after being stabbed when they were just 13. Becks' heart always seems to be in the right place and we aren't the only ones loving him considering his life may be turned into a West End musical. Meanwhile, there's also some news waiting for him back at home — a new coach and manager for the Galaxy. Phew sounds like a lot of activity for the international superstar before heading to the Olympics closing ceremony this weekend.

1He's practicing his "smart" face.
2He has a funny face when he is serious!
3Hihi!
He will be closing the 2008 OG!
I am curios about the final!
you have to admit that he's got some great direction in his life. he seems to always want to use his celebrity for good and raise awareness for different causes that people don't always know about. it's a shame about the story w/ his friend - but at least he's able to support the right folks.
4That was funny Eveday!
5I know he’s talking about a serious issues and he using his celebrity for good and I admire the man for that but when he’s trying to look intelligent it just cracks me up. I’m sorry
6he's such a douche
7i saw the press conference im glad the footballers are speaking out for the knife crime sensation thats kicking off in britain! Its mind blowing. Applaud them for using their status and position to encourage british youths
8David's such a busy bee.
I like it that he gives his time to good causes like getting kids involved in sports (football academy), supporting organizations like Malaria No More, Help for Heroes.. he's even a UNICEF ambassador.
He's more than just a pretty face, I wish more influential people used their leverage for admirable causes.
9This just shows that SOME footballers actually care about the real world! Beckham's my hero!
10Why so serious? Sorry I had to...but honestly, I really admire Becks and his charitable heart.
11he is so generous, he always has time for causes he feel he can help in, such a gentleman
