Last night Katie Holmes carried Suri for another fun-filled evening, this time at paint your own pottery, before getting back to rehearsal in NYC this morning. The girls are keeping busy enjoying the endless fun Manhattan has to offer, dressed to impress the whole time even at the park. Speaking of which check out video of the family playing — so cute. Between Katie's amazing bag collection and Suri's trendsetting nail polish, these ladies are ready for the cameras capturing their every move.

At the rate this poor girl's going with her hair, she's going to end up bald.
1Maybe she is always keeping her upper arms covered because she has psoriasis?
2
3how about a night of sleep for that little girl -
4did you really just say Suri's trendsetting nailpolish?
5Is she going to be drinking out of a bottle til she's 30? Is this normal/ advisable?
6When my sister and I were little we'd steal our mum's nailpolish and wear it, We also painted the wall with it.
7Dose that mean we were trendsetting?
Do we need a Suri & Katie post everyday???
8Hey, does anyone remember when Tom was trying to get everyone to call her "Kate" because it sounds more grown-up?
That didn't work out too well, did it?
9I like Suri. She's such a cutie.
10I can't help but think 'eggplant!' - what with the violet top and green shoes. lol
Whatever, Suri, you're the cutest eggplant there is, haha.
At least now Katie looks like a real NY-er. Her outfit is trendier than I've seen her wear in weeks and weeks. But please put down your kid once in awhile so she can walk.
11katie`s dressing up like she might be pregnant
12I remember that Jude.
Yea, I am failing to see how a 3 year old wearing nail polish and Katie in her umpteenth cardigan is post-worthy?
13(my sister is Plastic bee)
14i still paint stuff with my 200 or so nailpolish's
Is there some kind of cold front moving through NYC right now? She sure has been dressing like there is.
15Give it up Katie, you are not a STAR and just don't have what it takes to get there STOP riding on your crazy husband's shirt tales and shame on you and Tom for exploiting that child...you hid her away when she was first born and now all we see is her everywhere and wean the girl off the bottle for the "love of pete" what's she like 3 now drinking out of a bubby FOR SHAME!
16Why do you people give a flying fvck about Suri still drinking from a bottle? it's her teeth and her problem....don't bother me non.
I think Katie looks depressed, I'm sure she wonders what the hell she got herself into.
17Shouldn't Suri be in bed at this point in the night? It seems like she always has her out and awake until all hours. It's so strange and can't be good for that little child.
18I see that some of you comment on why Suri still has a bottle, but I honestly find it far more upsetting that she wears nailpolish - at the age of 2! I also sneaked some nailpolish from my mother's drawer, but not when I was that young. In fact, I doubt if any 2 year old could actually put nailpolish on herself. I thought Katie and Tom were more responsible parents, but between the Louboutins for children and the nailpolish, I start to wonder...
Tom and Katie aside, I must say that I am extremely disappointed by the view Molly and Pop take on this and other issues related to celebrity kids. Trendsetting nailpolish for two year olds? "Cool" bleached hair for 6 year olds? (Maddox) Uber-expensive baby shoes in the summer heat? As a mother, I like to dress my child nicely, sometimes in trendy and expensive clothes, but make-up, hair coloring and uncomfortable shoes/clothes have absolutely NO place in my child's world - for a million good reasons. I wish Molly and Pop would stop encouraging adult "trendiness" in children and instead focus on how wonderful and cute children are in themselves.
19Adorable outfit on her kid.
But get your kid off the fk'n bottle!
20I'm assuming she's not potty-trained either.
Walgreen's ..plastic sipper works wooonders for the transition.
21Seriously, can she stop with the scarf thing? No sane person on the east coast wears a scarf for any reason, until the temps drop. Ick...sweaty neck.
22I like Suri's dress, but she isn't trendsetting by wearing nail polish.
23Suri is sooo cute
24I keep 2 & 3 year olds in a Mothers Day Out program and if painting fingernails of children at the age of 2 qualifies someone as a BAD mother, I need to notify about 30 mothers. I also don't understand why it bothers so many people that Suri wears dresses. It takes an act of God to get my child in anything but a dress....sometimes you do what you have to do to keep peace in this world and if she wants to wear a dress, she wears a dress.
25she's certainly gaining quite the birkin collection just like her friend victoria. anyway, i love that they are finding so many fun things to do while she's in the city - and i wonder what tom is up to all these days too - since we've only seen him a few times lately.
i
love the cruises - and the new katie haircut is growing on me more.
26The nailpolish really isn't that terrible. Little girls watch their mommy's get dressed and put on makeup and want to be "grown up" too. Mom putting a little nail polish on her fingers (to me anyway) is nothing. How about little girls getting their ears pierced? To me that's SO much worse because it's permanent! The child doesn't even get a CHOICE in the matter, it's done and there forever.
Nail polish isn't even in the same category as hair color, which ANY hairdresser will tell you isn't a great idea for someone so young as it severely damages the hair. Same with getting a perm.
And finally I was bothered by the fact that Suri is up so late too, until I got to thinking... Some kids have really odd schedules and CAN'T sleep until much later in the evening for whatever reason. Taking her out at the times she does might be Katie's way of making her sleepy enough to go to bed.
I'm not saying it's right, but it could be the reason.
27I waited until my daughter was old enough to tell me she wanted her earrings pierced. I wanted to get them done when she was a baby, but I waited.
..With all things in life that she gets interested in, I think she should tell me what she wants and likes about things like that and 'religion'/church or whatever. I want her to make her own choices - Like when she picks out her nail polish.. it's such a cool feeling.
28ears pierced/wanted earrings whatever.
29Attack of the robots!
30I get ya g1, and that's almost EXACTLY the point I was making. But, you have a young daughter, let me ask you. If she came to you when you were painting YOUR nails and said "Mommy, could I have some too?" Would you let her? I have boys, so while I THINK i would let her, it's hard to say never having been in the situation.
I'm curious to hear you, or ANY mother with a small daughter, answer the question, genuinely. Because I just don't see the big hoopla about nail polish.
31the aliens painted them for her last night. or was it mork and mindy, or was it katie and tom.......
32Mykie7, I read that she actually took Suri to this pottery place in the afternoon, not the evening. Not sure why it looks so dark--maybe it was just overcast.
33The only thing that bothers me is the use of the term 'trendsetting'. Nail polish on a little girl was a trend "set" by Suri Cruise--just this week? Okay.... LOL
I'd also like to never again see the word applied to her mom either, if that's okay. Everything Katie Holmes wears is something someone else has worn before. No trends being set anywhere I see. LOL
34Thanks Provincial, I was wondering if it wasn't something like that, maybe a rainy/stormy day.
35Thanks provincial, I didn't think of that, but you're right. It could just be a rainy/stormy day.
36I have to paint her nails first, she thinks it's all about her. About two weeks ago I had my nail kit out and she opened it, took everything out that she knows I use to do her nails with.. then picked some polishes out. (we had a cat die this afternoon, so I can't type for too long here. gotta go support my husband.) But yeah, I can't touch my nails up mid-salon trip with her home when I'm trying to do that. She even pretends to shave her legs. lol ttyl
37Chris Klein's daughter is getting so big.
38it's such a cool feeling for me because my father didn't want my sister and I to wear make-up or nail polish or all that glitzy stuff. I let her make some decisions so she will have her own identity.
..it's weird the way that turned out, also, because I REALLY wanted a boy. But I knew she'd be a girl.
39Thanks for answerin g1, I appreciate it, and that's what I was thinking too.
40The classy All American family in Hollywoodland. Go TomKat..Suri and USA!!!!
41It may not be trendsetting to a few haters here but the rest of America this two are. Suri is just beyond precious and its great she is out with her mom not stuck in the hotel. They are happy but its the paps that makes Katie miserable and she looks really protective of her baby. How do I know? Its on the x17online vids and splashonline. Not only the paparazzis are aggressive but the people too. Ive been to NY last week and it often gets cold; very unpredictable weather esp inside the hotels. Even the weather in SF and Seattle are cool in this heat wave.
42Im quite fond of them and they are both deliciously adorable. Why compare yourselves to others when we are all uniquely different. Our lives, experiences, adventures, problems, development et al are not always similar. I confess when I was a lil' girl I used to experiment and model all my mom's heels, perfumes, makeup, nail polish, handbags, pearls, jewelries, you name it. (happy memories)
43I indulge in this Katie Suri cuteness!
44Mykie
I have 3 daughters and I've been painting their nails since they were all babies, and as soon as they were old enough to ask, they've been asking. They are little girls and they have been getting their nails polished and hair done since I can remember. It was part of our manicure/pamper ourselves day and it was fun!
Having said that, I think Suri is changing her looks BIGTIME! She used to to be sooooo cute. She is still cute, but she's just looking like a regular kid to me now.
45trekkie and quantimleap are the same person me thinks!!! lol
46or are the aliens on here
typo !!!!
47quantumleap
What I was thinking too lisa.
And leilani, I'm not surprised. It makes sense to me. People claiming that it's awful that she's wearing nail polish just aren't thinking. I don't like Katie and Tom at all, but I'm not going to criticize them for THAT of all things. Criticize Tom because he's part of a nutbag cult, fine. But because Suri's nails are painted? Come on!
48Well, it seems that I am in a minority here about not liking nailpolish on children, but I guess many Americans view this issue quite differently from many Europeans (where for example beauty contests for children are quite unheard of...fortunately).
As to the question about what I would answer a child who'd like to wear nailpolish, it is very simple - just as simple as it is to say no to sexy clothing or high heels or anything else I may wear, but which in my opinion is wholly unsuitable for children.
There is a difference between adult and children and if one is not able to establish and explain that difference to one's own children, I think one will have a hard time raising them properly.
49Wow I am surprised to see all the rude comments on this post about Katie and Suri. I used to think that PopSugar members weren't as rude as commenters on other blog sites so I have always preferred this site. But a lot of these comments are just mean... Katie looks great and not EVERY baby is off the bottle so fast. My niece is about to turn 2 but she is crazy about her bottle and her parents are going to wean her off obviously but it takes time so no need to judge Katie and Tom on that..it's not a danger to her or anything. I'm sure some of you parents out there have children that didn't potty train as fast as others, learn to ride their bikes as quickly, get off "the blankie" etc..so no need to be rude to other parents and children!! They are a happy family so I think people don't like to see that or something and start judging..
Katie looks so great on the pic on the right. And scarves are a big accessory right now - I recall there being a lot of pics of Jessica Alba wearing scarves while walking in Southern Cali where the weather is much warmer than NY and people don't get on her case! People are just out because its Katie Holmes wearing the scarf.
