Well, this news isn't much of a surprise. I think everyone was pretty much sold on the idea that it was an overdose of some kind. However, I do think it's interesting that they say it was an overdose of legal drugs. Wasn't there some sort of controversy regarding the doctor who prescribed the methadone? But, I guess nothing further ever came out of that, and he is an actual doctor, so whatevs.

Now its time for the paternity news everyone is waiting to hear. Here's a funny story for you: Last night, my 89 year old grandpa called to check in and it seems that even he is following this story. He told me that they are going to have the results soon. I about crapped my pants laughing.

Why the heck did it take this long to get an autopsy? I don't understand that. I also don't understand why it took so long to get a paternity test for Danilynn! I think people like dragging out situations and making them more dramatic than they really are.

I think we all knew this and it's amazing how long it did take.

While the drugs themselves may be legal to take, I find it hard to believe that she actually needed all of them. There was definitely something something shady going on to get her all of these meds.

I mean, Vicodin, Adderall and OxyContin are all legal drugs, but not the way most people in Hollywood use them.

Hopefully this can all be done with after the paternity test!

an overdose of anything, including food or oxygen can kill you. the fact that people misuse drugs is irrelevant when all is considered. certain drugs are only illegal for the public's protection... so when the world grows some brains maybe things like this won't happen.

An infection caused by needle injections from drugs? This is all so sad. Too bad she wasn't able to get help. Why are doctors not prosecuted when that act in the same way as drug dealers on the street corner? First do no harm

legal drugs is a funny term when it is a Hollywood wannabe Dr. Feelgood's doing the perscribing. And when a Hollywood personality has several doctors all perscibing legal drugs without knowing everything he/she has and is taking at once. It is Anna's fault in the end. Unfortuante but true. She medicated herself for years..it was her answer to any ache, pain or heartache or problem.

Lets get the paternity test taken and that baby given to Larry and be done with it already.

This story is just so sad. Everything about it has been tragic.

Can't say I am shocked or anything, but jeez whoever is prescribing for her should have known how the drugs would interact with each other.

I hope they announce the DNA results soon so this whole thing can be put to rest finally.

poor anna, she was so depressed about losing Daniel. I hope that people will leave her alone now and let her rest in peace.

that's truely sad; i can't believe it took this long. well i dont think that many people were surprise - the main question was whether it was intentional or not.

I'm not so sure she will rest in peace if Larry get's the baby. I'm hoping Howard is the father.

When are they releasing the DNA results? I thought was suppose to be today. Louey why do you hope that Howard is the father? He seems to be as big of a drug addict as she was and even if he is not he never did anything to stop her from being high all the time or from being high when she was pregnant.

I would not want Howard raising any baby.

I just think that is what Anna would of wanted for her daughter. I don't think Howard could stop her from doing anything she wanted to do. He was there for her no matter what. And I think he will love that baby.

Louey I agree that Howard could not stop Anna from doing as she pleases, but there is a video of her pregnant and high as a kite and he is filming it and laughing. There is a difference between not being able to control someone and condoning it which he was by making it into a big joke.

I understand your point of view. I think Larry just wants the money, Howard as always been there for her, loved her, let her be herself just so he could be with her. I'm not saying it was right, I just think that's what she would of wanted, him to raise her daughter. I'm not convinced Larry is in it for the right reasons. It won't matter once we find out who the father is anyway.

Louey, didn't you see that video shot by Howard of Anna pregnant, totally blitzed and pushing a baby carriage? He was mocking her, making fun of her, and made comments about the video being worth money. I didn't know much about his personality before seeing it, but hearing him on the tape confirmed for me that he doesn't have her best interest at heart. It's all such a shame, really...

s true motives. But even if Anna would have wanted Howard to be the father, which I think she only wanted while she was alive because of money reasons, I don't know if she has the best judgment. I don't think SHE should even have her kid if she was still alive.

Hey Louey - didn't mean to gang up comments on you...I didn't see cine_lover's comments until after I posted! To tell the truth, I don't like Larry much better than Howard. I just wish there was someone that we knew for sure was really on Anna's side. SO sad there isn't anyone!

IMO I don't think Larry is in it for the money.. He has been after trying to get his daughter since she was born. If it was for the money, then why would he have tried when Anna was alive?

Hmmmm.....I am not sure what I think I here. At one point I was on Howard's side...not so much anymore. This whole thing is such a tragedy, I just hope the baby gets the love she deserves.

just remember... not all doctors are going to have her full medical records... so they may not always know the combinations of medications she is taking, she probably didn't know, I know I wouldn't if I was taking that many... plus that's the pharmacist's job anyway

I read an interview with her former nanny that she drank a whole bottle of some sleeping med and when she whole up several hours later , her comment was something like "oh I meant to kill myself." Not sure of the validity of this, but anyone who self medicates with several prescription meds all at once is not in their right mind. I do not believe Howard tried to help her in any way. In fact he drew up her will intentionally leaving out any future spouses and children. Why would this not have been changed after Dannielynn's birth once Danny died? Some lawyer Howard is. If her truly loved the baby he would have made sure ANS's will included her.

I'm not in the least bit surprised.... it's really so senseless and sad.

I really do not think Larry is in it for the money.. I think he genuinely loved Anna and her drug use and Howard's unusual puppetmaster influence on her broke them up. She wanted him to marry her and have the baby and he gave an ultimatum about those two issues.

If anyone was in it for the money that would more than likely be Howard.. he solely represented Anna in anticipation of her payday. She paid for all of his expenses and he lived off of her for years. always skulking around in the background taking whatever scraps she threw him.

The drugs was how he controled her.. when she was lucid is when she would get involved with other people and he would start to lose his control on her.

Also I think her estrangement with her mother was about the drugs too. Her mother got a bad rap unfairly I think. In Anna's drug adled brain she couldn't accept the fact that her mother said that she thought Anna and Howard were to blame in some way for Danny's death when in effect she and Howard are responsible for surrounding Danny with drugs and a drug fix any problem, mix them freely environment growing up. Her mom has been in law enforcement since she tried to become an under age stripper in Texas. Her mother helped raise Daniel while Anna went off whoring and stripping and using drugs. Then she came back and scooped him up and never did anything for her family back home cause "Vicki Lynn" and her poor white trash family didn't fit into her Hollywood glam image.

Her mother and Larry were the only ones in her life who apparently tried to get her help for her drug use.

I didn't know about that Imabeliever. It makes sense though. I'm not surprised about this post at all but I hope that it all comes to a rest soon once everyone finds out who the father is. I can't believe that it took 6 weeks though, that's ridiculous!
