Blake Lively had a rare moment without all her other high profile costars on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC on Friday morning. As usual, Serena found a way to sass-up her school uniform with a perfectly trendy purple bag. It's hard to believe that after this long wait, one of our favorite guilty pleasures will be back on TV in a little more than a week! The September 1 season premiere is just around the corner and we know we're not the only ones who can't wait to catch up with those upper east siders we've been watching film all Summer long.

1it baffles me with how much attention we pay to this show....compared to all the others that are out there. it's the provocative nature of the advertising and the fashion that keeps us glued but whatever ....i guess it's nice to see serena/blake on her own sometimes.

11Gossip Girls is like the upgraded OC now isn't it? You've got the same tall skinny blonde vs the exotic 'curvier' brunette, and the totally forgettable guys they coupleswop.
So, another two years before we get an upgraded version of this show, which'll probably when we'll be referring to Rachel Bilson as a 'veteran TV actress'.
Love that colour in bags, though.

13She is really pretty, but I have agree with wadewifey, Blake is lacking in the acting department. But I have to give her props because she actually impressed me in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. I hope she has improved in season 2 of Gossip Girl.
P.S. In what universe would you be allowed to wear a skirt that short at a private school? Oh yeah, I forgot it's the Gossip Girl universe

and i agree... although blake doesn't have the best acting chops she really moved me with her story in the first traveling pants

16Anyone know where that cardigan is from? I am loving it. So cute with some dark jeans.
Also, at my private Catholic high school our skirts were so short they looked they were from a porn. No one ever enforced the three inches above the knee rule. It was more like one inch below our butts. Eventually the school ditched the skirt and turned the tartan into koolats, which I think the girls still rock pretty short, but at least you probably don't see as much cheek in the stair wells. Oh how I loved that uniform... So much fun. And makes a great Halloween costume now!

18jkat - Yeah, I went to a Christian high school and we had strict dress codes (no tank tops and no skirts more than 1 inch above the knee) but we didn't have uniforms. I think Catholic schools are a bit more lax with dress codes.
