After her PDA-fest with boyfriend Nate in NYC on Friday, Mary-Kate Olsen jetted over to the West Coast for the Radiohead concert at Hollywood Bowl last night. She wore plaid as usual and a knuckle ring from her Elizabeth and James line. To help promote The Wackness UK release this weekend, MK gave an interview where she talked a little about her personal life and dream afternoon. Here's more:
- On whether people confuse her and Ashley: "Not as much, no. But sometimes if I'm out I'll say I'm Ashley or if I'm making reservations for restaurants instead of saying my name I'll use my sister's! Actually most of the time."
- On what she wishes she could do: "I would love to be able to swim in the ocean in Malibu. But that is asking for a bikini shot. That's inviting something that I don't want to happen. I don't need to be on a Who's Skinny, Who's Fat, Who's Looking Healthy, Who's Not Eating?' list."
Hopefully MK can sneak in a dip in the ocean before the Summer is over. After all, she could just tell everyone the bikini photos are Ashley.

Actually, now that you mentioned it.. I had a frappuccino at Starbucks earlier and when they asked what name they should put on the cup.. whaddaya know.. I said Ashley.

11i'm not sure why she would claim to be her sister - but i guess whatever works for her. i think that i still have trouble figuring out who's who - but that's also cause i don't pay enough attention to them. i would hate it if i were confused with being my twin...if i had one.

14For some reason, I love Mary-Kate and Ashley. I think they have managed to stay relatively grounded despite being young, rich, and famous in Hollywood. Sure, they have their party nights, but they're also twenty-something girls, too. They seem fun to hang out with, and they have great taste in music!

16I never feel bad for celebs when they complain about photographs being taken of them BUT...this time I almost did feel sorry for Mary Kate. It is sad that she can't do something as fun as swimming in the ocean for fear that her body will end up the topic of conversation. I wish the press would leave celebs body's alone and talk about what they are doing rather then there weight!
17She could still go swimming in the ocean. She could wear a full piece swimming costume or even a springsuit. I don't feel comfortable about my body at the beach but often me and my friends wear springsuits (wetsuits) to surf or swim even if the sun is out. You don't have to worry about your figure, bikini top accidents, getting burnt and it's much easier getting into the cold water.

19That's funny about using her sisters name, I guess it's because her sister causes less controversy.
The beach thing is so understandable. I wouldn't want to be photographed in my bikini either and then have my body discussed and ogled & judged by millions of people in various blogs & magazines.
