While Jennifer Garner had Vincent Garber to accompany her to the doctor's office, as expected Ben Affleck was at LAX headed off to the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The comedic Boston boy showed love for his Red Sox, even though he missed last night's memorable onstage appearance from Senator Ted Kennedy. There's a lot more convention excitement yet to come, so even if you can't be on your way like Ben Affleck and his Converse All Stars, be sure to stay up to the minute with the Citizen girls on the scene in Denver.

i'm sure that everyone's looking forward to seeing ben at the convention. he's been one of obama's loudest champions next to oprah - and that's saying a lot cause we know that he's really helpful in campaigns and overall just lending his name.
it's got to be hard being away from his preggo wife and daughter - but it's all in the name of politics right?
1sweet!
2(no idea why any woman would want to sit on top of him)
3I think you mean Victor Garber.
4i love ben and jen but i must say i totally agree with kid rock's latest statement to people.com - celebrities are talented in many areas, yes, but are certainly not experts in politics!
that's not to say i disrespect anyone who is voting for obama as well, but i'd rather hear an expert's opinion on what is truly good for our country instead of, say, halle berry.
5I wish he would shave. He is such a good-looking guy with a little scruff or cleanshaven, but this is just overwhelming. It just makes him look sloppy.
6When I see photos of Ben these days, I just have so much trouble picturing him back in the "Bennifer" days with JLo. How ridiculous that couple seems now. This Jennifer matches him much better.
I agree with karlorene (and Kid Rock!) about celebrities/actors and politics.
7I've seen Ben talk politics and he is very informed. Kid Rock does not know every celebrity, so how can he generalize about what celebrities know and don't know about. Ben is a very smart guy, who is very politically opinionated, and just so happens to be an actor. I guess lots of you are too young to remember that one of our Presidents was an actor. The governor of California is an actor, and at one time, the governor of Minnesota was a wrestler.
8I agree about celebs and politics, and would not support a candidate just because a celeb did. However, any time I've heard him speak (on various political shows), he's knowledgeable and what he says has substance (even if I don't always agree with it); whereas, other celebs talk just to talk and don't back up their opinions.
Beard or no beard...he's a handsome guy.
9lol badkitty - great minds think alike
10Why's he waving his shoes around and looking like he's about to down four beers and five hot dogs at the nearest baseball game?
Oh, and g1amourpuss, me neither. He seems quite intelligent and cool in interviews, but I can't for the life of me see anything physically attractive about him. He looks like a tree stump.
11Ummm its Victor Garber, not Vincent
I wish I could go to the DNC, I'm watching Hillary's speech right now.
12lots of other celebs are going to this.do they know their ex is in this party at the same time?!their react will be a must-see!
Jennifer Lopez, will appear at the Denver Art Museum tonight for an invitation-only 9 p.m. event sponsored by the Jennifer Lopez Foundation. Lopez will be at the museum to honor Marian Wright Edelman, who founded the Children's Defense Fund.
13i dont think he is waving his shoes aroung he is trying to go through airport security and it prolly waving at either a fan or the photog
14I was there at the PPA/Paralyzed Vets Poker Tourney Last night and that is pretty much what Ben was wearing tho' I'd like to think he changed his blue dress shirt and into another identical (fresh) blue dress shirt, but probably not.
Kudos to him for supporting another fundraiser. I've been to a number of these and I think it's gotta be work to be "on" for everyone. Sure that's the life of an A list celeb, but I have to believe it would be so much easier for him to do other things.
15actors have the same rights we have to support any candiate the choose...i dont see what the problem is
go obama
