Based on my very limited knowledge of the Lohan family's antics, I'd say having a father like Michael would drive me to drink a lot more surely than having a girlfriend like Ronson would.

ya know what, how dare he even open up his mouth about anything lindsay does. she was the sh*ttest father, and its really his influence that she even began using at all. its unreasonable for him to even imagine that she'd take his advise after all the crap he's done to that family. i live on long island, and i swear it was like every other day he was in the paper with a DUI or knocking out the power all over suffolk county cause he drove his car into a pole. regardless of whether sam is good for her or not…. I wouldn't go blaming the girlfriend for any of Lindsay's problems. And now I feel like calling Child Protective Services for Ali.

I don't like Sam at all, but I think it's completely unfair to blame her for Lindsay's drinking. IF she's an enabler, then it's lindsay's responsibility to break free of that. One thing they teach in rehab (Or so I've heard) is that you shouldn't enter into any new relationships for a year or more after completing rehab. Yeah, she blew THAT right out of the water.

Should Sam be away from Lindsay? Yeah, probably, but that doesn't make it sams fault that she's drinking, IF she's drinking. The only person that picks up that glass and poors the liquid down Lindsay's throat, is Lindsay.

i'm sure that if Sam IS writing a book, that LL has been involved - she doesn't seem like she's one to air the dirty laundry of their relationship and i really do hope that's not the case. as for saying someone is to blame for LL's drinking again (IF SHE'S DOING IT) then that's just wrong too. LL is an adult and she's been through rehab enough that she knows how to avoid situations that would make it tempting.

The funny thing is, Lindsay looks the healthiest & happiest she has in the past couple of years. I mean, we rarely see her coming & going from clubs anymore. Her & Sam are morel likely to have a nice dinner or go shopping. When she was drinking heavily and into whatever she was into, it was definitely very obvious.
So Michael Lohan really needs to calm down. Like someone else said, he was the one abusing alcohol (and people) back in Long Island. If anyone is the bad influence, it's him.

Samantha Ronson comes from a very intelligent family. I think if she writes a book about her life, a lot of it would consist of her years growing up around the rich and famous. That is probably enough right there to write a book. I doubt she will be selling out her girl.

I'm with you on Dina Lohan couture. I don't particularly like her, (ok, I can't stand her LOL) but I DO think she's trying to do good things for her kids. Her methods may be wrong, but I don't doubt for a single instant that she adores her children.

Samantha just did an article for Harpers Bazaar where she refused to talk about her relationship with Lindsay. haha steph.. thanks for posting those. i actually sometimes read samantha's blog because i like hearing what she has to say and honestly i feel like she is a genuine girl who wouldn't hurt lindsay. i like her more and more everyday. they're a great couple to me and i don't care what anyone says either

As much as I'm loathe to admit it, I'm liking Sam and Lindsay more all the time. I still think Lindsay will one day wake up and pull an "Anne Heche" but maybe not. I just think Sam handled this with Class. Saying nothing would be worse in this case I think, and from the blogs Steph posted, it seems like these two get that. I still wish they'd just come out and be honest about what their relationship is once and for all, but hey, it's their choice and who am I to tell them that's wrong?

Methinks ol' Mike Lohan is trying to steal a page off Brit Brit's pops. He wants to be the "saviour" all of a sudden, where the hec was he when he was messing his kids up years ago? I didn't think of that, but after getting conservatorship, Jamie Spears has been made out to be a hero (Which, he is and he isn't in several ways) but Michael Lohan may in fact be trying to get something similar done for Lindsay so he can be in control. The problem with that is, he's got a record, and I don't believe he could legally BE put in charge of a conservatorship.
