Selma Blair and Molly Shannon took their ridiculous characters to a mall in LA to film Kath and Kim. They were shooting scenes where Molly's character is a hairstylist and Selma is helping model for her mom. Yes, ICYMI, Molly is Selma's mom in the show. Selma's outfits continue to get more outrageous, and this time it's pink hot pants and sparkles! She has always had her own unique sense of style, but the pretty Fendi LBD and sexy Givenchy leggings are hopefully the trends people will want to follow, as opposed to her crazy counterpart. The only recent pink thing anyone should copy of Selma's are those beautiful shoes.

It is a hit on London or Australia or somewhere. Sometimes those shows do not translate as funny, but this looks ok.
Molly Shannen as the mom is strange sine I think in real life those 2 are like 10 years apart. Selma is in her early thirties.

12This is based on one of our funniest shows down here in Australia. Sadly, I don't think it's going to translate. The characters are nothing like the originals. Kath (the mother) is supposed to be an 80's fashion victim complete with frizzy perm, daggy tracksuits and tragic lipstick colours. Kim thinks she's a supermodel, wears low-rise jeans which only emphasises her muffin-top hips, midriff tops, has obvious hair extensions and French-tipped acrylic nails. Ack. From the couple of clips I've seen of the American version, the brashness of Kim is missing and so has Kath's Aussie-ness which is her appeal. And where the hell is Sharon, Kim's long-suffering best friend?

15this will not be funny. there is no way it will have the same humor as Australia's Kath and Kim. Without the accents and Aussie humor it won't work!
16The 10 year age gap isn't a big deal when you consider the orginal actresses were 1 year apart. It didn't matter they were both comedians (who created the show together) and it was about laughs it doesn't need to seem realistic.
17I have a feeling this show will be a hit. Just like Pushing up Daisy's and Ugly Betty. I love both those shows and looks like I have a new one to add to my list!
18i've been looking SO FORWARD to this show since i found out that Selma was going to be on it. she's always one of my favorites in comedy shows...from zoey... and now this - i'm sooo excited about what's going to be on tv.
um..ONLY she could pull off those leggings though - they are super cute and well...a bit out there for my style but if i had her legs i'd do it.
