Ashlee Simpson stopped by the Chanel store in LA yesterday. She looked cute in a tank top and jeans, though her denim collection has been a hot topic lately. A report claimed Ashlee was so unhappy about her pregnancy weight gain that she bought pairs of size 0 jeans to motivate herself after she has the baby. Ashlee blogged about the rumor, saying weight gain is the "absolute last thing" she's concerned with, she loves her stretchy top maternity jeans, and "my closet full of size 0s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them." She also called her pregnancy "the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life." That's the sassy, cute Ashlee we love; plus it sounds like Pete gets a new wardrobe out of the deal.

19Actually I think its easier for men to fit into a size 0, considering their lack of hips. Its probably a lot less "gross" than you think for him and probably a lot more "gross" for her. Not that I think she was particularly commenting on her own pants size, just probably reflecting back what the media said.
20Um... this is a bit foul. First, if either of them is a size 0, they are underweight for their heights. IMDB says that Ashlee is 5'6 1/2" tall. I'm 5'5" and I wear a size 6. Do either of them have hips? How did she get pregnant at her presumed weight?
And please, please, please I don't *ever* want to hear how Pete Wentz is wearing size 0 jeans. What brand are they? I need to get me on a pair and check it out in person. Because that means his thigh is the size of my shin. And that's nasty. That is a lot of bones in bed rubbing up against each other...
And finally - her pregnancy "style" sucks. Three maxi dresses in rotation do not a style make. I get that she's pregnant and wants to be comfortable, is tired blah blah blah. But cut 2' off those dresses and stop wearing that ridiculous headband around your forehead.
And your music sucks. It's good that you guys are only collaborating on the baby because I can only imagine the HORROR that a musical collaboration would be.

22No, I don't think she ever was. But what's with all the hating on people who DO fit a size 0? I do, and I don't think I'm gross by any means. Does having a very small frame and tendency towards thinness make a person gross?
23Boys wearing girls jeans is not a new phenomenon, it's how the skater boys that can't afford the skater skinny jeans get the look. My son is in high school and has a few skater friends that have used this trick.
I don't buy that they're size 0, but I understand why he can get away with wearing girls jeans.

25Your bone structure may change a bit after pregnancy but that does not mean that you can not get back to you pre-pregnant weight and fit into those jeans. I'm as tired as the rest about hearing about women with unrealistic weight goals, but I am also just as tired of hearing mom's not get their ass out there after giving birth and working out to look fit and toned again. There is no way that I am not going to fit into my size 4's after I have a kid. Being a mom does not give women free reign as an excuse to look dumpy.
26pregnancy has really turned her style around in a good way. i hope she continues dressing similarly after the baby is born. she looks age appropriate and stylish, but still a little "rocker."
