Last night was supposed to be about Gwen Stefani and inspirational songs yet once again Sanjaya's hair will be the most talked about part of the evening. Most of the performances were forgettable including the disappointing Chris Sligh. There is always someone early on who sounds amazing that unfortunately doesn't improve as the show progresses and it looks like Chris is that contestant this year. As for favorites, I loved Melinda's look and then Simon bashed it. Boo. Also kudos to Phil for stepping up this week.
As for the bottom three, Haley took one of my all time favorite songs and destroyed it so hopefully she's in the bottom this week. I think she will join Chris Sligh and Jordin Sparks who was just wrong on so many levels. Gina was most improved this week but she still bugs me. We all know Sanjaya has to go but for some reason America wants us to suffer through his terrible voice and style each week so prepare for more of his hideousness next week. As for Gwen, she looks so much better not all made up but I was more upset we didnt get a Kingston sighting. 8IMHO, Gwen is too adorable for words. Her understated makeup, her outfit and her sessions with all the AI contestants made her look so down to earth and cute. Sanjaya is a joke, Haley really stunk it up for, like, the 5th time in a row, I also could not stand Melinda's outfit (completely unflattering), and Chris Sligh disappointed again.
9I loved Gwen last night! She was entirely too cute and she told the truth! She didn't say everyone was amazing like the celeb guests tend to do.

11Gwen looked gorgeous last night! I loved everything she had to say as well! As for the contestants I thought Phil and Gina did an excellent job last night! They picked great songs that really showed off their voices! I'm not a big Gina fan either Pop but she did do good last night! Melinda still proved she could sing....her outfit wasn't that bad! As for Sanjaya OMG....I can't even understand why he is still on the show but I guess America likes to get a good laugh every week! Everyone else was just blah to me!

14i'm sorry, but honestly, everything about american idol is over-shadowed by my extreme loathing for sanjaya. he is horrible and must be stopped. i wish everyone would stop voting for him and let him get kicked off like he deserves.

My first and only episode that I've even seen was early in the season and it was with the girls..The show bores the hell out of me and I get too embarrased for some of the people there. Before a commercial break when Seacrest announced who was coming up they showed Snajaya and his wacked out pho-hawk. THEN they cut back to Seacrest, zooming into his face. He gave a weird look like "get a load of his hair America." It was so stupid. I'm not a Snajaya fan, but Seacrest is such a tool.

39Chris Sligh and Haley were just terrible. Phil, Jordin, and Chris(Timberfake)Richardson were tolerable. Sanajaya should be put to sleep. Simon was right about the Melinda’s outfit. Her dress gave me a headache.

I haven't really paid attention to Idol this year, because I saw the top 24, and it was really underwhelming. I do not think that out of the thousands of people they auditioned, that these were the best.
I think the show needs to stop focusing on the "funny/bad" people during the audition rounds, and start trying to find the truly talented people. I could find 24 better singers at my small town high school.
