Jennifer Garner and Violet Affleck spent another of their girls-only afternoons together yesterday in LA. The pair swung by a children's clothing shop to stock up — with a soon-to-arrive fourth member of the Garner-Affleck clan there is shopping to be done. Even if there's another girl on the way, it looks like Violet's not about to make her favorite dress into a hand-me-down anytime soon.

I like Jen's dress!Very pretty!
1And Violet sweet as always!
Cute pics, as usual with these 2 ladies!
2so we already know it's a new girl??? Cool!!! I'm sure she'll be as cute as Violet!!
Cute.
3very precious
4nothing but best wishes for Jen, Ben and Violet. They are a celeb family you actually want to see grow. Good for you!
5What a sweet little girl!!
6it's funny how certain clothes make you look more preggo and all that - since we know that jen isn't VERY far along, but she looks it there. she's an adorable preggo woman though! i can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!
7Wow, so all it took to get Jen out of those ugly jeans/northfaces and t shirts was a little pregnancy!
Glad she's wearing something feminine for a change, much better
8I can't get enough of her! And I can't wait to see the new affleck baby either. Violet will be an awesome big sis, you can just tell from a picture. (I mean, can't you tell EVERYTHING from a picture?)
Hint: that was sarcasm. LOL
9I love those two and Jen makes a very adorable pregnant woman. Violet is getting so big already - maybe time for her to walk - can't be that good for Jen
10I love that we often see Violet wearing the same clothes... They obviously have enough money to buy her an extensive wardrobe, but unlike Suri, she wears outfits time and time again.
11very pretty!
12She looks great!
13alethia, it only makes sense. Why spend a fortune you don't have to? Kids outgrow stuff SO FAST. Of course, being that seems to be Violet's favorite outfit, who knows if she has 10 of them or just 1. LOL
14i think jennifer garner reads this blog, becuz last time i said she should put on some flip flops and she did in the post yesterday. and then i said if only she would put on a dress and what do you know? she's wearing a dress now. thats just great. i love her
15Well I hope she reads this blog:
Put Violet down, shes a big girl and knows how to walk. Why does she insist on carrying her around all the time???? I bet she'll be carry Violet and the baby all at once, this I got to see.
16She doesn't do it for me.. but I like these better photographs of her. She looks more femme in a dress.
17I bet she'll be carry Violet and the baby all at once, this I got to see.
_______________
I'd carry both my kids at once if I saw a group of paparazzi coming at me. I've heard some of the things those guys yell at celebrities to get a picture and oftentimes they're right up in their face.
Since that's where we get our every photo--from these paps--I'm not surprised to see every famous mom holding on safe and tight.
18hey libragirl....there is a video of them inside the farmer market....big surprise for you: she let Violet walk! Guess why? Maybe because she felt more secure to let her walk without a group of crazy people yelling at them!
Criticize...that's the only thing you can do!
19Ok, I know people hate hering this but i don't think she should hold Violet at this stage of her pregnancy. I usually don't care if she holds her, but it is not recommended to hold a child over a certain weight while you are pregnant. That being said, I think Jen and Violet look sooo cute. But how come we never see Ben alone with his daughter?

21Cute dress. And while it's nice to see her wear something different, I always appreciate that she doesn't give a cr*p about what people think of her appearance.
I imagine she's a bit like me in that she puts on whatever is clean and comfortable at the time. Maybe she'll end up with children who value themselves for more than just what they look like or wear? We all know she cleans up well when the occasion calls for it.
22I agree with you Shannon.
California, yes that's true, but honestly, if you're careful it's not a HUGE deal. My oldest was 5 when I was pregnant with my youngest and I occasionally had to carry him. I asked the doc about it, and he told me "It's not ideal, but as long as you carry him this way you should be fine." Docs are good at giving alternatives because not everyone CAN follow those "Don't carry your children" rules. Like in a crowded shopping mall. Or at Disneyland. There were times when even just holding his hand didn't make me feel safe enough and I carried him.
23I wonder what it is about being a mother(/father even) that makes us hold our kids this way. I mean, I do it sometimes if I'm just going to the grocery store and I want to run IN and OUT. Why are we so protective or over-protective..?.?.. (If I was a celeb I probably wouldn't let my kid run around.)
..and yeah, if I was preg again I would be very nervous about holding my daughter like that and walking around. Granted she is pretty fit.. it would just still make me nervous. I've seen a lot of mothers do it though and they seem to be just fine.
24If the paps are such an issue, than put her in a stroller. It is very bad for your pelvic floor to be lugging a tot her size around all the time, especially being pregnant.
25Wow. If she's going to carry her daughter from time to time (I doubt this is an all-day occurence), let her carry her daughter. I tell you what, she puts that girl in a stroller and this thread will be filled with "Violet's too old to be in a stroller" comments. Who cares either way? It doesn't affect any of us in any way AT ALL. Wasn't Angelina seen carrying her kids until about a month before she popped? The twin messiahs seemed to have turned out just fine. No worries, people.
26They are so so adorable.
27they are just precious.
28Hey Elektranatchios, yes I will critize, just like you do! In every photo, shes holding Violet. Get a darn stroller! Its pretty bad on your back and pelvis especially when your preggers!! Get a clue!
29Did u ever think about the fact that maybe she asked her doctror if it's dangerous for her to carry Violet? Maybe not....otherwise why always repeat the same thing?
Amesabelle I so agree with you! There is always something to complin about!
30Sorry I have been so busy, I haven't had time to check on the posts from the past few days...
Anyway, I like Jen and I have defended her before about the topic of carrying Violet. I have no problem with it, except for the fact that she is pregnant and she does not just carry Violet from "time to time." We see her carry Violet very often, almost every time they go out, and I would think that it was unhealthy to carry a 2 year old. I really don't think it's necessary to bring Angelina into another topic that has nothing to do with her, but she was rarely seen holding her kids during her last pregnancy except for Shiloh (who is a few months younger than Violet) from time to time. The last picture I saw of her carrying Shi was when she was 6 months pregnant and walking through a busy street, but she eventually let her down to walk. And she stated in an article on Entertainment Weekly that she knows that she shouldn't hold her kids during her pregnancy so she often asks Brad for help. Anyway, I don't think Jen carrying Violet is THAT big of a deal, but if I see her doing it when she is about to give birth to baby #2, then I will speak up. It's not like she cares about my opinion.
31"think that it would be unhealthy to carry a 2 year old while pregnant."
32I wouldn't complain if I saw Violet in a stroller, she's only 2 so it's not a big deal. The only complaints I've seen about seeing a kid in a stroller are the ones about Liv, Julianne's Moore's daughter, who is 4 or 5 years old. A lot older than Violet.
