After spending a day with her boy and bikini, it was back to work for Selma Blair on the set of Kath and Kim this week including an ill-fated scooter ride. Looks like we shouldn't expect Kim to lose her taste for loud fashion statements in the show's first season, but it's all part of the fun of the sitcom. I don't know if it's just me, but this show looks really bad. It may have been funny on a Saturday night live skit for 5 minutes but a full show looks like it will probably get cancelled pretty quickly. I don't think Selma can hold a show. I think Molly will steal most of the scenes because of her snl training. Selma isn't funny.

2Jerry this is based off a popular British TV series, not SNL. It should be very funny. I am not sure...maybe since The Office made it maybe Kath & Kim will. Selma is actually really good actress and pretty funny too. I for one don't like all the pics from the set spoiling the show.
3Coupling was also a very popular British tv show like the office and it was cancelled. It was predicted to fail by a test audience and critics. The head of NBC is also getting fired because of his choice of a fall line up. . I think Selma is ok in small supporting roles but isn't talented enough to carry anything. That's why she really never took off as an actress.

6Sorry girls, but Kath and Kim is an Australian TV Show, they just air over here in the UK! I think it's hilarious! If the American version comes to the UK I'll definately be tuning in!
7The Aussie version is hysterical, but I'm married to an Australian and I'm used to their sense of humor. I don't know if most Americans would get the jokes, so i think if they translate the jokes more American style, this version may be pretty funny. But nothing can replace the original, it's hilarious!

11Selma is so cool. Its funny cause she's about 35 yrs. old and she actually looks like a teenager.
12I really have my doubts about this. Kath and Kim is funny as an Australian show, because you know they are really bogan, but I don't think it will translate. I like American shows so don't misunderstand me when I say that American shows should stick to what they do best. The humourous aspect of the original Kath and Kim, I think will be lost in translating it for an American audience. Its like The Office and Coupling- both of which worked so well with the British humour, but maybe (at least not in my opinion) not as well with the American humour. But I am just one person.
