Its nice to see that shes normal and has problems just like the rest of us.( and shes not embarassed to say it ) Maybe it might help someone out there who looks up to her and feels desperate in life. You never know celebrities sometime touch peoples lives in weird ways....

She keeps dragging up the same old junk she talked about years ago. She needs to get over it and move on with her life. She is beautiful, has a hot boyfriend and very wealthy. Quit moaning about things that happened years ago. If I was her boyfriend, I would get the hell out now. The writing is on the wall, he needs to open his eyes. If they break up, she will be whinning for another 10 years and three relationships later. Run dude, save yourself now!!!!

A lot of the stuff, like her suicide attempt etc., she already talked about - on Oprah several years ago. So it's not like she's saying anything new... as long as we're willing to listen, she should feel free to talk. If people didn't care, it wouldn't be reported!

Millions of people check gossip blogs every day (myself included) to find out about stars' personal lives but then complain when they willingly offer information? That doesn't make a lot of sense... it's nice that she doesn't care about maintaining a perfect image and is willing to let people know that she went through tough times, too.

I think when you reveal too much, it could come back to haunt you in the worse way. Halle does get better with age, she is such a lovely woman.

The stuff she is talking about isn't even new. But I think it's nice she is talking about it! There are probably girls out there that look at her and think she's got the perfect life because she's rich, famous and beautiful. Anything that might help them see everyone struggles is good to me.

It just goes to show you that you can be absolutely beautiful and have problems, including being cheated on. I think we need that, bc it is easy to think that our lives would be better if we were prettier, richer, had a different boyfriend...

I believe it. Most of these people are, and that's why they need the constant attention. I used to thinkk money would make me happier, and although it would make life EASIER, I wouldn't necessarily be happier. Look at the starts who shop and change hair color/styles constantly. Something's missing in their lives.

Absoluely not, she is just as human as the rest of us. If anything comes out of this it will be the fact that suicide is out there and it does affect even the best of us but we can get past it and move on to become more successful than ever if we are focused and dedicated. I love Halle, she's been through so much but instead of becoming a bitter, angst ridden has-been, she's become even more successful and more beautiful, which I think is the ultimate revenge. =]

I agree with Psucks... THese people are so self-absorbed it is almost sickening at times... But, I think most people know that celebs dont have a perfect like either and honestly I don't care if I don't look like any celebs... they spend all their time working out going shopping and that's it just worrying about THEMSELVES... I just want to live my life and be happy without the constant pressure of looking or acting a certain way...

I really think it's a myth that stars (wheather hollywood, sports or whatever) 'should be normal'. First of all, they were born just like all of us and not dropped down from some huge mothership, so it doesn't make them any more special than us. However, they worked hard to excell at something like everybody does, and not everybody excells. But also the style of life they follow is not the same as the rest of us, and whatever they do, makes news. But you have to wonder, is that why they would want to make news? I have my doubts.

She's a walking pity party. She should just cop to being a lousy judge of character. She's allowed a**holes to abuse her forever. Fool me once, shame on you .... fool me twice, shame on me. And none of this would be coming out if she didn't have a movie to promote. She's one of those who never talks to the media unless she has something coming out (like Tom Cruise).

if she didn't talk about it, people are curious and papparazzis are chasing..but if she talked about it, no one cares about it..I guess nothing will make everyone to be satisfied, eh?

I think its good that Halle is allowing people to see that she is flawed. Some celebs try so hard to maintain an image of perfection, it's god to see Halle isn't one of them.

halle was going to kill her dogs when she was suicidal..that is unforgiveable. AND those dogs got eaten by wolves because she left them outside at night in LA. shame on her.

i hate when celebs use their personal trauma to promote movies. its one thing to say im saying this to promote awareness but when its blatently around a time when they are promoting something, it makes you question their integrity.

Publicity stunt--she has a new movie coming out. Seems like she always mentions this when she has a new flick coming out. Old news---mentioned this in 1997 in Ebony, Jet and Oprah. The girl needs to move on and get new material.

I think she is gorgeous. When I read the title about revealing too much, I thought you meant by her low cut tops and tight skirts..

I think it's great, showing that she's just another person who has been through problems like anyone else, although now she has status unlike the average person. But, her problems can show real life people with problems that hey things can get better, you just have to keep trying.

I really never cared for her.

She talks about her private life just when she has to promote movie... She's a beautiful woman and a good actress, she doesn't need to do that. I'm disappointed.

I knew about her relationship issues and suicide attempt long before this. Why is she revealing it all yet again? Don't dwell in the past Halle. Stop talking 'bout it and move on.

I don't know that I would share suicidal thoughts with the world, but it could also be good therapy for her to be able to put everything out in the open like that, to finally release problems that she was keeping inside.
