The ladies hit the VMAs red carpet and managed to look cool under the blazing LA sun yesterday afternoon and we were there to get a peek at the action. Lindsay Lohan turned heads in her skintight black dress though I spotted her changed into pants and a sexy top when she made her way into the show with Samantha right behind. We didn't get to see Ashlee Simpson on the red carpet, but I did spot her sneaking in the side entrance to the show right after Pete — I will say that baby bump is huge and she is positively glowing. Bar Refaeli looked stunning though was happier to talk to us about her girls' vacation in St Tropez than when a reporter asked her about Leo's whereabouts. Nicky Hilton told us she was excited for the show after deciding last minute to come and wore an Open Ceremony dress while Taylor Swift is just the sweetest thing ever. She's so pretty, poised and polite.
Also on the red carpet were the ladies of The Hills — Lauren Conrad looked great mixing it up from her usual while Heidi was attached to Spencer even when they had to sip champagne waiting to be let in to the packed auditorium. Of course, Heidi and Spencer were happy to talk to the press and Britney was the topic on everyone's mind. They were excited for this to be the best VMAs ever starting with Britney's opening moment. i think that overall the women were looking great. i would love though if katy perry would glam it up a bit - she's looking great in her typical outfit but i'd like to see her with a dress on for once...dont you think she'd look good?

13I agree with Lizzyy, I didn't think that anyone looked really good. I thought that all celebrities had stylists? Maybe not.
Bar looked fine but there was something about her outfit that I didn't like. The different pieces just didn't mesh well together. On the positive side Bar does have beautiful eyes. I just showed that I can be nice to my nemesis, the one standing in my way to my coupling with Leo.
Well, maybe Bar's not standing in the way because two months is a long time to be away from your boyfriend! Bar has never been open about her relationship with Leo so I wonder what the real story is. Popsugar should have asked Bar, heck she was standing right in of your face, "Are you still doing the nasty with hunky Leo because our readers really want to know, especially Teenamarie"!
14agreed....every one's kind of blaaaah....Ashlee's def having triplets lol....Rihanna has nice legs....Xtina looks like Donatella Versace, which is a horrible insult...Pink actually looked "semi-female", says my husband...I just liked Brit's upbeat attitude and the host dude with his spandex and leprechaun shoes lol

17I thought that for Brit they must have gotten her into some time machine, because to be honest she looked exactly like she did pre-meltdown. Overall I agree, the styles were just meh, but at least they didn't look fashion challenged. Ya, Ash is just huge, she must be due any second now.

really possible for any celeb to keep any part of their life private anymore, unfortunately! And I agree - none of the girls looked very good. I think Bar looks like she should be standing on
a street corner instead of the red carpet - sheesh, was her stylist on vacation???
