They may not get to be as colorful, but the men managed to keep things interesting at the VMAs. Chris Brown was a stand out having a blast on the red carpet handing out hugs to all his friends he ran into along the way like Lupe Fiasco who was gearing up for his big performance. Chris Brown's performance last year still has people gushing, but the topic of the night was Britney. Everyone was super excited to see her hit the stage again, well, other than Kid Rock who made it very clear that's not why he was looking forward to the show. In fact, he told us he was most excited just to see which performers lip-synced versus actually singing.
Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado schmoozed their way down the press line while Cisco Adler and Schwayze talked a big game about their secret upcoming movie project and their crazy summer touring. Perhaps the loudest screams came near the end of the red carpet when Michael Phelps showed up, though sadly he didn't have time before the show to make it down the whole press line.

McLovin and Michael Phelps have basically the same outfit on, except for the tie and their shoes.
I'm not sure I like what the oldest Jonas is wearing...what's his name? Joe? Kevin? Tito? I think his suit would have looked better if he didn't roll up his sleeves. Every time I see that guy he's always in a tight, white suit.

1i think that some of the men really did a great job with things - but well...others just scare me! what was t-payne thinking? i get the relationship with his new album that's going to be out - but really - that was just a bit over the top. TI looked SHARP but i'm sure he was sweating out there in the sun with the red velvet jacket on.
2Zac Efron is the most perfectly coiffed and powdered person there! heehee...he's adorable, but there's something about him that comes across as Ken-doll-ish!
John Legend and Ne-yo looked great (very snappy!), and I think Chris Brown is such a cutie!! In general, I was surprised at how cleaned up most of the guys were--the VMAs aren't really that formal! But they all looked good for the most part:)

4the guys did pretty good fashion wise.. the men who stood out we're rapper/actor T.I .. but T-Pain what the hell was he thinking huh... he was dressed a Ringmaster with a Top hat and jacket inspired by Michael Jackson's "Beat It"..
