Britney Spears was back to work yesterday posing at a shoot with Vogue photographer Patrick Demarchelier in Beverly Hills after which she rewarded herself with dinner at Magnolia. If the pictures end up in the magazine, it should line up with the rumored December release of Britney's star-studded new album. That will make it almost a year since the worst of her breakdown — thankfully she has come so far and the biggest headlines about the singer are about her VMA wins and planning a joint birthday bash for her boys who were born two days apart in September. Even the press about Lynne Spears's controversial revealing new book has become more positive.

2baby steps
3LOL
4Wow, this is the best I've seen her hair!! I wonder how long that will last.
5she looks good
6...done with it...I've had my fill of Britney for a lifetime!
7good for her.
8her hair even looks great!
9I don't care what anyone says, she's definitely lost her spark since she went off the rails. Man oh, that was years ago too! Now she just looks older and tired and rough. No matter how much weight she loses or if she gets her old hair back, she'll never be like she was before.
10I'm curious about her next single...
11she looks good
12I agree with you, Sundaygreen.
13sundaygreen, you are right. i was watching the VMA videos, i saw she was back in shape, wore nice dress, her hair was OK, but something was missing.she is not that Britney, who she was, she will never be. She has to built up her new and different career. i'm not sure she will be able to do.
14I agree with Sundaygreen too, but it's still awesome to see look this good! I'm definately gonna buy her new album! I loved Blackout!
15~she is amazing here!!!!
16I agree too, but you cant really blame her for not being the same after the year + that she's been through. The day she starts actually talking about her breakdown etc will be the day I believe that she's finally gotten over it.
17I have to say that that comment is just so random and kind of a duh point. I'm 26, haven't really been through all that much drama in my life and I look and act a little different than I did a year ago. It's called life- none of us have the same sparkle we once did.
18Wow, December? That was quick. I actually have to admit that I loved Blackout, even though her voice was overly processed. I hope this one turns out good.
19she looks great!
20shes back!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!
21Brian, I'm glad you said it because I was going to.
I am DEFINITELY not as "up" all the time as I was when I was 19, 20, 21... I mean, life does that to you. And if I had HER life, I'm not sure I'd still be able to leave my HOUSE let alone smile! Holy COW the things this girl has been through. Whether it's her own doing or not doesn't matter, she's been through it and it's changed her.
22I totally agree that she will never be the same like before, that is because she is not the same person anymore. She has been through a lot and she is a mother, she is definitely not the 18 year old teen star like before.
She looks great here and cannot wait for her new single to come out
23maybe its wierd cos she dresses like she did in the old days. know what i mean she needs a look update cos she aint 18 anymore?!?!?!
24She's looking good.
25she looks so good!!
im an so excited for her new cd in december
26One step at a time! This is the best way!
27Good luck Brit and keep up the good work!
I'm talking about her longevity as an entertainer. There are plenty (don't make me name them, but Madonna would obviously be on that list) who have ups and downs but never lose their star quality.
Of course people go through different phases in their life, that wasn't my point.
28I LOVE YOU BRITNEY!!!!
29sundaygreen is total right but when u look at these pictures u feel that there might be hope......
30She needs a stylist around her at all times until she can learn (or recall) how to style her hair like that everyday. Whoever did that made those gross extensions look almost pretty.
31i love her... she will be back 100% just wait!
ill never give up on britney!!
32i would be SO EXCITED if she were to release her album in December. i'm still reeling over blackout and i love those tracks so i'm sure that this one would be just as great.
as for the photo shoot with patrick - i think that it's a nice thing - being back in the good graces of photogs for vogue - that means that you're doing something well.
33Wow, they really untangled that weave. Wonder how long she can keep it looking good and healthy?
I agree with the crowd about her spark, and the sad part is not only that she dresses like she did when she was young, but her music hasn't seemed to move much past that era. Much of the world accepts that she's not the same as that teenage girl, but career-wise it's like Britney didn't get the memo.
Oh well, I guess as long as people are still buying it, she'll keep selling it.
34I am so excited! She looks SO good...I definately feel that she is on the mend.
I agree with a few above...I definately don't look the same at 28 that I did at 20...not better or worse, just different.
I am proud of her!
35I know everybody is changing, zhe problemis not that.Simply, she doesn't shine as much as she did.I do not have problems with her,and know it was a hard time for her.And i agree SUNDAYGREEN again. I don't think she can be that kind of star or celeb like Madonna.
36agreed, baby steps...someone got the clumps of grease out of her weave
37She looks Amazing!!!beautiful!!
38Her hair looks good. I bet she looks a million times better than all you people picking on her and trying to find something wrong with her. Jealous much?
39Her hair actually looks good! WOW!!
