Aww, this list is just mean and kinda silly. The actors and actresses are paid exactly what the producers think they are WORTH, according to what THEY think will be added to the movie and its profitability by casting them!

they're ALL overpaid...I totally respect the arts and all but these people aren't saving the world, teaching our kids, finding cures for diseases, fighting for my freedom....they're basically playing dress up and emotionally unstable enough to make themselves believe they are another person for that period of time...IMO, even the best actor shouldn't make more than about 100k/film - they'd still be fairly well to do....today's not the day for me as I sit a mere block away from ground zero and I can see everything from my office...I'm on the 41st floor at Chase Manhattan Plaza.....

can't really call any actor overpaid since we fuel their paychecks. If we didnt pay millions to see their movies, studios wouldnt have millions to pay them.

The list seems dumb to me, but then I adore Jennifer. The fact that Cate Blanchett is on the list is even more ridiculous! I don't care what movie she's in or how much she makes, the woman is one of the most talented actresses of our time.

I think Cate Blanchett is the greatest actress of her generation. She is the equivalent to Meryl Streep, Dame Judi Dench and Helen Mirren.

Violet is cute. I am not a big fan of Jen Garners movies but this list is some what ridiculous. ALL actors are overpaid. Well maybe I could single out Will Smith since his movies always tend to make a lot of money but star power really don't sell movies anymore. Studios/producers shouldn't pay actors that much and concentrate on paying the writters more since their scripts are a huge part of the movies. I agree with whoever complained about Cate Blanchette being on the list. She IS one of the best actresses in Hollywood right now and she doesn't get paid half of what Cameron gets pay. Besides she usually does indie filma so I doubt that the studios are loosing a lot with her. On the contrary her movies usually get raves and attention from the academy.

Yeah, the problems is that some actors who aren't that talented are paid millions for films that are far from remakables. What has Jennifer Garner done that was so great or even a big box-office hit after Alias? And Cameron Diaz lately?

Jennifer Garner's Movies aren't memorable. She's like Jennifer Aniston, they're both better at Sitcoms than Movies. Never seen a movie of Garner's that was actually good.

HeidiMD & Juicylemon - I think Jen's biggest movie hit has been 13 Going on 30, but I could be wrong. It was a really cute movie, but I think that was one of her few box-office hits in which she was the lead actress. She had small parts in Pearl Harbor, Dude where's my car?, and Juno too. I'm guessing that she took a lot of time off after giving birth to Violet. She made The Kingdom and Juno after Alias ended, and she has another movie coming out called "The Ghost of Girlfriend's Past." I don't know how I know this...I'm not THAT much of a Jen fan.

Californiagirl- I saw 13 going on 30 and it was a cute movie. But for the other movies you mentioned they were small parts and she wasn't famous back then. Except for Juno where all the talk was about Ellen Page. As for the Kingdom, I didn't hear much about this movie.
She gained a lot of popularity with Alias but for her as a major movie star that draws crowd? It's a wait and see.
And yeah it's the same for Jennifer Aniston. They are popular for their now-canceled tv shows and their ongoing presence in the headlines but when it comes to movies it's either not that good or not many people goes to see their movies anyway.

oh well - poor jen to be considered overpaid as is the case with nicole - but at least people do enjoy them from time to time. i think that since nicole has been in so many oscar nominated roles/movies - that's the reason for her price tag - but i'm not sure why jen is. oh well - it's nice to have security in life right?
