Halle received the 2,333rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday at a ceremony in front of the Kodak Theatre. Hot boyfriend (and excellent carry on item) Gabriel Aubry, her mom Judith and pal Samuel L. Jackson came out to honor Halle on her big day. "I want to officially state that I am an emotional retard," she said at the ceremony. "I am so emotional ... as soon as I saw the crowds of people and friends here, I started to cry." Okay, so not the most eloquent choice of words but we get what she means. At least she was able to pull it together, and get nice and close to her new star, to pose for the cameras. Congrats, Halle!

17Ryan Seacrest got one on the Walk because he paid first. Contrary to popular opinion, the stars aren't given an as honor. You purchase them. Which makes the "emotional" stuff all the more annoying.
18Perhaps Halle meant "retard" not as a slang term, but as the actual definition of the word which is, according to dictionary.com "to make slow; delay the development or progress of (an action, process, etc.); hinder or impede." One can hope that's what she meant and she wasn't so insensitive as to use the word with association to mentally challenged people. Probably not though.
