Lauren Conrad transitioned from front row fan at Nanette Lepore [1] into her role as designer to present her Fall 2008 collection yesterday at Bloomingdale's in NYC. Lauren's always juggled multiple projects [2], and now a big one just landed on her plate — she's signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins [3] to write a fictional series for young adults loosely based on her life. There seems to be nothing this Hills [4] star can't conquer, and with a whole generation of loyal fans, it sounds like the perfect match for the rising talent — we just wonder where she'll find the time.
