2011 American Music Awards Red Carpet Dress Pictures

The rainy LA weather didn't stop some of Hollywood's finest from bringing their glamour to the American Music Awards tonight. Jennifer Hudson kicked off the sparkly string of arrivals in a lamé mini, while Selena Gomez, with Justin Bieber by her side, showed skin in a champagne Giorgio Armani gown. Modern Family's Julie Bowen made a bold statement in metallic stripes as she posed ahead of her presenting duties. Heidi Klum, who also took the stage to hand out a trophy, wowed in laser-cut silver Giles Deacon dress, and shared pictures of the fun event on Twitter. Taylor Swift got glittery in Reem Acra for the big night, where she was nominated for three awards.

Vanessa Minnillo accented her white dress and nude Jimmy Choos with a bit of glitzy detail, while Jennifer Morrison kept her style simple in a neutral hue. AMA nominee Katy Perry brought a pop of color to the evening in a unique strapless Vivienne Westwood, which she topped off with pink hair, a headpiece, and blue shoes. Jenny McCarthy chose a ladylike purple look, and Alanis Morrisette went with black chiffon to introduce Mary J. Blige's tribute to the late rapper Heavy D.
