Richard Gere was obviously the man of the hour at the premiere for his film The Hoax in NYC. In the movie Richard plays Clifford Irving, the real life writer who sold his bogus biography of Howard Hughes to McGraw-Hill in the 70's, causing a huge media frenzy. Marcia Gay Harden plays his wife who is in on the hoax. The film is getting pretty good reviews including this one.

1This movie looks soooo good! Richard Gere is finally starting to show his age.
2This movie doesn't interest me, but that is a very talented cast.
3I'll never forget what a jerk he was at the 9/11 Madison Square concert for the policemen and the firefighters. Blech........He was so out of touch with the audience, what a nut.

10I think he looks older here because he's shorter than that woman he's with. It makes him look like he's shrinking.

12He's still hot. Usually his hair is colored darker for movies, so it probably just seems suddenly older to see him all grey. The guy is 57 years old.

14Richard Gere is a wonderful actor! I loved him in "Primal Fear," "Pretty Woman," "An Officer and a Gentlemen," and "Internal Affairs." He's had an illustrious film career and is one the best actors of all time, in my opinion. He is very compelling and plays the adulterer role as well as anybody. He has quite the onscreen presence. The guy looks good for his age, and is still ruggedly handsome.
