Jessica Alba grabbed a snack while Honor observed the scene on a break from a photo shoot in LA yesterday. Jessica looks gorgeous flashing a smile in her casual tank top and kept a protective arm around her daughter. Whether being a new mom has made her happy or if she's just given up on caring about the paparazzi, Jessica seems to be in great spirits. Instead of movies she's throwing herself into causes, so while Jessica used to get a lot of flack on the Internet, it's hard to complain about her behavior these days. Plus, seeing her baby all snuggled up, you can't deny the awww factor.

If people can go on and on about a baby being ridiculously cute, then what's wrong with saying they aren't the cutest babe in the world? Whose feelings is it gonna hurt? The baby certainly isn't reading all this and in my opinion kids of today need to be a little more thicker skinned and not want to sue everyone who has "hurt their feelings" anyway.
It's a fact of life that some people are visually more appealing than others. Everyone has different tastes in what is cute or not cute. It may not be nice, but life isn't nice. The quicker you learn to deal with things life throws at you, the better off you will be. I can't stand the world that teachers and some parents are disillusioning kids to believe exists. They are not preparing kids to face the real world and it's having detrimental effects on some who now can't handle life after college.
If someone thinks something they should be able to say it on a blog. It's what it's here for. Saying someone isn't cute might not be the thing to say at a speech at someone 's wedding, but here on a blog..yeah it's ok.

20She looks very pretty when she does smile. Her baby will get cuter as she gets older. It takes them awhile to loose a little of the baby fat and start showing what they're going to look like more. I'm sure she will be even cuter later on.

Why is it such a wonder that she doesn't smile when the papparazzi are around?! Have people forgotten that a pap snapped a photo under her skirt,while she was already preganant at the time? What would you do in her place, embrace them and put leis on their necks?!?

and think, in my happy place, it's not just about typing out every single thing that crosses my mind, it's about some basic principles of civility. And yes, I think it's rude/inappropriate to make *negative* comments about a baby's appearance since they have no control whatsoever over any aspect of it. This isn't a woman wearing a skirt so short you can tell if she waxes or not - a woman who *chose* to wear that skirt - it's a baby. Is there really a value in saying the equivalent of "not hot, ew" - seriously? About a child? That's worth putting fingers to keyboard and having that be your honest statement about the kind of person you are?
Since lots of people post exactly those comments here, then, I am going to say honestly, I think it's rude and I am judging those people by the things they can control - their actions. I think it's gross, honestly, and I remain surprised and disappointed that the moderators think it's acceptable for the appearance of an infant to be snarked about.

And saying that is not some kind of great conspiracy to defame Alba. No one is saying she's a bad mom, or the baby is the ugliest baby in the world. Just like you can think Honor is the cutest baby ever, other people can think she's just not cute. Big deal. No one's opinion is right or wrong, and people need to stop jumping down each other's throats over opinions.
But this is just a little note - this is a Jessica Alba topic, and when someone with an Alba icon starts freaking out over people calling her baby not cute, it comes off as less "you shouldn't be mean to babies" and more "how dare you say something about someone I'm a fan of!"

30i agree sandykf... judging how an INFANT looks?! - that's just appalling. Would you tell your own child they are ugly? My guess is NO, so why would you say someone elses child is ugly.
