John Mayer stepped out of an NYC hotel with his rolling luggage yesterday. The usually talkative musician has stayed out of the press for the most part since his post-breakup rant to the paparazzi, but that doesn't mean he's keeping his mouth shut. On Tuesday he played a "secret" show at the Mercury Lounge, talking between songs about the lack of connectedness thanks to computers and his drunk vs. sober thoughts. He also checked his BlackBerry and commented, "Who am I kidding? No one calls me anymore. Oh wait, here's a text message from 'device is powering down.'" Thankfully, there was no mention of any breakups this time, but he does sound a little lonely.

2He does seem a bit lost. I don't believe for a second he misses Jen Aniston but I feel like John is in some quarter life crisis. He seems to be internally searching for something he can't find. You just feel him trying to feel some hole missing him and I have felt this way for along time about it. When he started the blog and acting weirder than usual. I mean he seems to try different things and date different people but it isn't what he is looking for. I pray for John and I hope he finds that thing that is missing inside of him.

5I doubt that it's about Jennifer, but he does seem to be in some kind of personal crisis. Maybe he's waking up to himself and his life and his choices. That's always uncomfortable.
Or maybe he's just annoyed that he's not getting as much press and/or attention as he used to. Who's to know?

This guy is just plain weird. I am glad Jen is not with him anymore. It's funny she seems to be doing better and better and this guy looks more pathetic each time I see him. At least the haircut looks good. Maybe he misses the media attention lol!!

9I don't think he's in any crisis or at a loss for female company. Before, after, and around his celeb dating he's always been reported to having no qualms about hooking up with fans/groupies. His whole "nobody calls me" is just part of the act.
He's been touring enough years that he probably has a lot of fan/friends in every city. And all of that flies below the radar of the paparazzi.

15is he really surprised that no one's calling him? really? i think that he's dug his own hole in life and well, now he just havs to figure out how he can redeem himself since he's got this image in the press of a certain type of guy. i hope that for his sake he kind of grounds himself and becomes a normal guy - so maybe things will change for him. we'll have to wait and see i suppose.

19I think the "no one calls me" line is a reference to the stories about how he doesn't have any friends any more because the photogs aren't following him without Jennifer. He is making fun of them. I'm sure in inbox is full.
