Javier Bardem arrived with a smile at the International Film Festival of San Sebastian last night. He stepped out of his car looking perfectly huggable in his t-shirt and jeans at the festival to premiere his excellent Vicky Cristina Barcelona alongside Woody Allen. It doesn't look like any of his gorgeous female costars joined him for his arrival most notably his girlfriend Penelope Cruz who has been in London preparing for Nine. Javier and his sense of humor are always welcome on their own and hopefully soon he'll get over his exhaustion and get to work on learning a new skill.

4It's funny that when Penelope Cruz, Rebecca Hall and Scarlett Johansson were promoting the film, Bardem wasn't promoting due to dress and now Bardem's starting to promote the film, the girls are busy (with Johansson just coming back from Rwanda and Cruz in London rehearsing for Nine!).

The sweating is a serious set down - wondering if he wants to be "I am the big bicep-ed labor man just back from hacking logs".
14i LOVE when stars decide to keep things casual and don't go the glam route - especially guys cause it makes them more real and more attainable in a sense. i wish that some of the ladies would have been there with him, but i guess we can't have everything now can we?

16BTW, he's likely just arriving at the film festival. Meaning, he's arriving to check in to his hotel, not walk the red carpet. Might explain how casual (and HOT) he looks.
17he did promote VCB. Check javie bardem in search at popsugar. he just didn't post next to penelope. he also promoted the movie in NYC while scarlett didn't. he just didn't go to cannes. he taking the year off from filming
18Did someone seriously write, "Why is he sweating?" Geez, he's about to get in front of hundreds of people and have his picture taken- maybe he's anxious?! Maybe the car's air conditioning didn't work... How dare he be human!
