Looks like all that travel caught up with Suri Cruise, who snuggled into mom Katie's shoulder out in NYC today. The growing girl was sporting a new 'do with her pigtail braids and pretty pink dress. Katie performs for a full audience for the first time tonight, though she got a good taste of the attention after last night's dress rehearsal. Whether or not Suri is awake to watch her mom take on Broadway tonight, there's nothing like a little one-on-one playtime in NYC to help wind down.
Maybe if she wasn't dragged around at all hours she wouldn't be so sleepy. Or maybe they intentionally drag her around so she will sleep more. Some parents like to wear the kids out.

Um, Kids get sleepy. Big deal she went to sleep while her mom was carrying her. Suri looks adorable and so does Kate. I wish her all the best on her Broadway debut.

i saw the reviews from audience members last night for katie's opening night and they were all raving so i think that's a great sign for her. i hope that things go well for her while her play is open since she really deserves to have her own happiness and successes.

Finally, they did something different with her hair. I wouldn't mind seeing a better picture of her with the pigtails, although I'd feel guilty about it as Suri definitely doesn't seem to want the attention.

Since Tom Cruise really seems to want to appear vital and youthful (or younger than he actually is) as the eternal action hero star, it *is* very stange how much Katie has seemed to age since she's been with him.
I thought when men in their forties had those mid-life crisis and found women almost twenty years their junior, they were looking to be seen with the hot young thing on their arm. But Katie? Not so much. Hee. Of course her choice of attire lately doesn't help. A touch of sexiness/feminity or a glimpse of skin wouldn't be such a bad thing every once in a while.
And the hair really *does* make her look like Tom.

Oh, and I totally agree with keltilass. I found a site that showed moving footage of Suri being papped, and I felt sick with myself after watching it - she was really miserable and quite scared. She gets this EVERY day of her life.
