With the onset of cooler weather here in R.S.A I enjoy opening a bottle of Wolfkloof Shiraz. When I first tasted this wine all I could taste was the taste of black pepper and cloves but as I started to learn more about wines and appreciate the flavors of the wine.
Wolfkloof Shiraz: This name of Wolfkloof is derived from a farm, owned by the Viljoen family since 1880. The Shiraz grape offers the best quality in the warm area such as Robertson where its fruit & spice characters can pronounce themselves. The Karoo soils of Robertson Valley are rich in lime & naturally give concentration to the grape, leaving the wine rich and heady with aromas of mulberry, cinnamon, clove and leather.
