6I'm kinda annoyed by the Don Imus thing. Is he in trouble for calling them "hos" or for calling them "nappy"? Because I have nappy hair and I didnt know it was a bad word. In fact I have a children's book called Nappy Hair that my daughter and I love. So should I burn it?

34It annoys me that "we" pick and choose who to be mad at. That some people are allowed and permitted to say horrid things all of the time to music, and no one fires them. That comedians say ranchy things constantly, and they are RARELY called to task. But he said something tame and stupid compared to what he usually says and now people are calling for him to be fired. That seems to be so unequal.
Do you remember how LIVID so much of the AA community was when Bill Cosby begged rappers and comedians and parents to stop using terms like that because it degraded them and taught children bad lessons? Most people in the AA community didnt stand up on his side. Most people told him to relax and stop making such a big deal out of everything. Well.....maybe Don Imus was listening.

36t0xxic - For AA people, "nappy" is very much associated with AA people. Trust me. I've got nappy hair. My sister has "good" hair. My daughter has "good" hair. I was so glad when she was born with easy hair. It sure saves me money! My nappy head is in the hair dresser's chair every other week.
