Meg Ryan has stayed under the radar since her split with Dennis Quaid back in 2001, but thanks to her new movie The Women, she's landed the cover of InStyle. In the issue she finally opens up about her painful divorce, and why she never really felt like "America's Sweetheart." We loved Meg back in the '90s and now that she seems to be stepping back into the spotlight, tell us — do you want a Meg Ryan comeback?

Sure, why the hell not!
I like Meg more now that DQ has moved on and seems happy. I can forgive their breakup and move past it. =) Wouldn't mind seeing more of her, but she's not my favorite...
No, I think her time has passed. I loved her in When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle (as well as a few other '90s movies), but she hasn't made a good movie in a long time. And it annoys me when people try to get rid of their "America's Sweetheart" image, it's a GOOD thing.
Go away.
I'm a huge fan of her 80's movies so I say sure.
She ruined her face with plastic surgery. It's a shame because she was cute. And I did not like how she cheated on Dennis Quaid with Russell Crowe.
Her face scares me now, so I say no more meg!! Her time has come and gone
I loved her in French Kiss. But I think a comeback would be good.
And please, for the sake of her career, never choose anything like In the Cut. What a horrible movie. (blah!)
Maybe, if she hadn't had so VERY much plastic surgery!
i ouldnt say im a "fan" but i love her in "city of angels" with nicolas cage..such a good movie
p.s i wish didnt f'ed her face with plastic surgery
I agree with you MissyB....her face is so disturbing to look at! Movie looks like a cute chick flick though.
*wouldnt
I used to really love Meg Ryan.. so cute in You've got Mail but.. her last 2-3 movies her face looks really bizzare. Too much plastic surgery or botox.
I agree about the surgery - gah. I've loved her ever since Innerspace and her with DQ. Man - he still looks good after all these years. Sorry, sidetracked.
I'd like to see her come back, but I'd like to see her doing things like she use to do. She
just doesn't seem like a serious actor to me -- more of the com/rom stuff.
Yes, sure. Meg will always be Meg.
If you read the article... she said Dennis Quaid cheated too.
i wouldn't mind seeing her stage a comeback. i think that we all lost a little faith in her when she and dennis quaid broke up especially since there was a lot of talk about her and russell crowe at the time. i think that since so much time has passed, we're all in a place to kind of look past it and see what she can do. i miss seeing her in key roles in film and maybe it's about time that she's getting back into her old skin and showing us what she is known for.
love meg! she deserves a comeback! i think their marriage was over before russell....she got dennis off of drugs and then he cheated on her way before she had a fling with russell...she was probably trying to keep the marriage together for jack, but finally realized she deserved to be happy, too! i give her the benefit of the doubt and say yea meg!!! as for the plastic surgery...i know it looked weird, but just wait ladies until you grow older and see how hard it can be...i can only imagine when you are in the spotlight it's much, much worse..so she tried a little and it didn't work..she looks better now.
BTW...did anyone see 'in the land of women' with meg and adam brody! Great flick!!! If you like indies, you'll dig it!
Nope. Didn't like her then...still don't now.
I'm going to echo bluebellknoll on this one. Not a fan of her then, won't be a fan of her now.
My issue arrived yesterday and my response to seeing her on the cover was "good for her." I really don't care either way.
No because thats not Meg anymore its botox, restylane and bleach.
I don't mind if she continues to make movies - but her heavy stuff was mostly kind of creepy (Restoration?) and she's beyond the chirpy romantic comedies.
I'm not loyal to actors. If the movie or show is made and performed well, I'll watch it. Many times if done excellently. But I don't follow entertainers like a sheep or something. I like to make them earn their money. Musicians as well.
I mean, entertain me. No need to get all invested in them personally... None of them pay my rent.
um...NO.
She's had her day,she was okay, never really saw what all the fuss was in the first place.
I enjoy Meg Ryan in movies. I'd like to see her do good work. Her ex was a mess. I'm surprised they lasted the last as they did.
She does not look like herself. I liked her early movies, and the last one that I really liked was the one with Hugh Jackman.
I always loved her. I am glad her trout pout has pretty much passed. I loved her in French Kiss. She always has the cutest prettiest hair. I like her. She really took the hit when her and Dennis Quaid split up and she never said a word about him cheating. That must've been horrible to live through.
I would like her more if she didn't look so horrible now. The plastic surgery really messed up her face. It makes me not like her.
The Women sucked and her face is fúcked. She'll never be the old Meg Ryan again!
I saw Kim Delaney on tv yesterday and it made me think of all the stars I just can't watch anymore because all I do is sit there and look at the weirdly altered face and can't get into the story at all. Anybody else feel like that? They can't ever be movie characters for me again, but just freaky caricatures of their former selves going through the motions in some movie or tv show because their faces are so mesmerizingly horrible.
@janet - YES! It's not that I don't like them anymore - I just can't WATCH them. Just like Kenny Rogers. I could listen to him all day, but I can't look at him anymore.
I have NEVER been a fan of hers and never will be. Her face looks really awful! Yikes - too much work to an already weird look.
I used to love her, but she just had so much unnecessary plastic surgery that now I'm kind of over it. Anyone that was so adorable 20 years ago and couldn't handle getting older isn't worth the attention. Madonna is on that list too....
She is definitely my favorite and to this day my favorite movie remains to be You've Got Mail.
I don't care either way
She was at her very best in the drama When a Man Loves a Woman. Loved her back then. She should comeback.
No, Meg looks too scary these days, what is it? Botox or plastic surgery when you get looking like a transvestite?
she's aight... but i am disappointed that her new movie got terrible reviews and do not think she is going to have a comeback anytime soon
i agree that she looks botoxy there! (could it be the airbrushing?)
I can't get passed her botched face, I've tried but I can't. I believe she's a good example of why NOT to mess with your face, her career has gone downhill since she went overboard on the plastic surgery.
Sure she can comeback, especially if she does another scene like the one in "Final Cut".
I was a fan, but was really put off by the way she went about scarpping her sweetheart image. That's why we loved her! I don't mind seeing artists stretch themselves, but the way she did it was a slap in the face to her fans. Going from wholesome, classics like Sleepless to trash like In the Cut was what alienated me. I'm on the fence. I want to see her back on screen, but in films that are classy and well written.
I find her acting lacking. She's not that good. She could have just made "when harry met sally" and gone away forever and that would have been alright.
Her acting isn't great, but she's lovely in romantic comedies, would like a comeback for her, I am, however, disappointed with what she has done with her face, botox/surgery overload! I doubt she needed it
@ Dubn8tr - that movie was Kate & Leopold, I think that's the last movie that I liked her in too.
