Clay Aiken posed with his baby son, Parker, on the cover of this week's People Magazine, opening up for the first time about his often speculated about sexuality and proclaiming, "Yes, I'm Gay". Just a few years ago Lance Bass posed with an almost identical headline and now the former American Idol runner up is ready to be a new father out of the closet. The cover also proclaims, "I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things." There will be a lot more to come when the issue comes out, but so good for Clay to have the courage to be honest and what an adorable baby boy!

NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo! I would have never guessed!
1Thank goodness! I can finally sleep at night!
2Well....DUH! Is there anyone on the planet that didn't know that already???
3It about time....
4Yeah, even I knew this one. And the surrogate baby was the big clue.
5This is soooo funny! I mean really? As if no one knew or suspected!! I just cannot stop laughing! This has got to be the funniest headline of the year!
6No shocker there.
But I do think it's nice he acknowledges raising a child to "not lie or hide things".
I can just imagine the things Kathy Griffin is going to say now!
7I'm glad he's finally able to let it out, good for him.
8glad thats over with
9now we wait for zac efron to stumble out of the closet.
Golly gee, what a shocker.
10I hate it when people are forced to discuss their sexuality. Everybody has the basic right to privacy. The way Aiken has been treated in this sense is a really sad statement about our culture. When he was ready, he came out. Obviously, nobody is surprised. But people like Perez Whatever and other trying to publicly shame him into coming out - that's bull.
11Ah, duh... I knew that from the Invisible video. Did hetero. women find him attractive anyway? But how tacky to wait to pose with a baby on a magazine cover to 'come out'...what's the baby for? to seek cover behind. What an a*. They can all come out...doubt women really care anyway. The women can come out too. They really think 'fans' are stupid you know.
12I agree Hockey Princess. It is so sad. No one should have to go through that.
13No for real? Duh.
14I believe he is a gay Christian...YES, IT is possible!
Remember all the time that
GOD is not the problem with the world, stupid people are. Congrats Clay!!!
15Ooh, I can finally say a phrase I haven't said since I was 14..
Like Duh!!!
And the baby is a cutie
16Oh I am crushed..I always found him so attractive and manly.. NOT. Seriously who doesn't know?! Now if only Tommy Girl and Zac Efron would come out too..
17Oh I am crushed..I always found him so attractive and manly.. NOT. Seriously who doesn't know?! Now if only Tommy Girl and Zac Efron would come out too..
18oh NOOOO, he was my #2 choice after Josh H lmao...he had me fooled
19I wish him and his baby all the love and support in the world. Now that the jerks who have finished hounding him about coming out are gone, the conservative Christians will swoop in to bash him in a new way.
20Good for him for coming out on his terms and his timeline, rather than being made to or shamed into it! Who cares if he's gay, he's a singer, it won't effect that! And his son is beautiful, congrats to him!
21Oh really? I would have never guessed that Clay Aiken was gay. ;)At least he is being honest about it now.
22Awwwwwwwwwww Clay...we knew already knew. I am still a Claymate and I adore you!!!! Your baby boy is so cute. Congrats for finally coming out when you were ready. Love Clay.
23I have a questions to californiagirl... not as a matter of bashing or anything like that. Just trying to understand how people think. Is it ok to ask people about their sexual orientation? Do they owe any of us an answer? Why do they need to be "honest" with us, people they do not know, about who they are sleeping with? Saying "no comment" obviously doesn't work in our society (just ask Diane Sawyer), so what do you want a celebrity that is NOT READY to discuss their sexual orientation to do?
24I'm glad aiken waited on his terms, why do people feel they have the right to demand what is true obviously people suspected it, btw that baby is too darn adorable, i'm glad he is not shameful of what he is and wants to set a good example for his son, love the name parker obviously tony parker, lol
25still fug, and still an a$$
26That baby looks a little scary from back here but I gotta see a closer shot.
It doesn't matter if he's gay or not, nobody cares about his geeky ass.
27He must have had some serious self hatred issues to deny this for so long, so vehemently. And yeah it does suck that people care about a person's sexuality, but when you're in the public eye there is that element of curiousity regarding a celebrity's orientation.
28about time...
29who will be the next big outing "shocker" ...tom cruise?
30Oh, please let it be who you said, dashofsugar
Clay...well, good for him for coming out, I suppose, but it isn't like it wasn't pretty much common knowledge anyway.
31Good for him. I'm glad he is happy & comfortable.
32Surely you jest.
33Shocking!
34I've got no idea who this guy is. I hate how these days people have to "announce" that they're gay. I'm not announcing that I'm hetero, they shouldn't have to announce that they're gay. I remember a quote of Cindy Crawford from over ten years ago which was something like "we shouldn't ask little boys who their girlfriend is, we shouldn't ask little girls who their boyfriend is, we should just ask 'who do you love?'". I think that's the way to go.
35Well, finally.
36I don't care that he's gay. Didn't we all know that already? But when people aren't open about it, it just seems like they're ashamed, when they don't have to be.
This doesn't change how I feel about him. I've never liked him, to be honest, and this isn't much of a surprise.
hey people lay off about the conservative christians hating gays. im one and i have no problem with gay people, i think whatever floats your boat. its just a stereotype, and like rotherhamms said, its not god, its the stupid people that are the problem with this world.
37not a surprise , i knew this along time a go already so duh!
38No big surprise. I bought his first album but was not impressed, each song sounded the same, too loud. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law forced us to listen to the second one when we visited in June. The one with all covers. The originals were much better. Well, it's better to be honest, it's not like the 40s or 50s. I have gay friends who married to blend in when it wasn't in to be gay. I also have a friend who committed suicide because he was gay.
39well, um ... duh. not that I care. to each their own.
40Not shocking but I like his music.

41I have no idea what it is like to finally "come out." I'm glad Clay is in a place where he is confident and secure enough to do so. Go Clay!!
42The only shocker here is that he and People magazine thought this was news worth a cover.
43Yeah, apparently no celebrity had any babies or was diagnosed with any illnesses this week.
44Thank you, Mr. Obvious.
45It took him long enough. I hope he doesn't actually believe that people didn't know. Michael Stipe thought people didn't know. How couldn't they?
46Good luck
47Kas it's so funny you said that...I call people "Captain Obvious" all the time
48and the world stopped spinning while people mag put out this important news....
...the man
has a right to live his life how he sees fit..gay or not. what a way to live...always in the spotlight...i'd never want to be a celebrity
49HAHAHAHA! Wow, huge revelation there. I would have never guessed
