Now that the 90210 spinoff has been picked up for a whole season, the new rumor is that Melrose Place could be next. According to Lisa Rinna, there have been rumblings to re-visit the famous apartment complex over at the CW thanks to the success of 90210. Lisa's already totally on board with the possible project, but do you think Melrose Place should get a spinoff?

I always get those two shows mixed up with each other! Weren't they kinda like the same thing?
I was a bit to young to watch when these shows were popular.

UGH! This show was just awful. Awful! Wasn't this a spin-off from BH? And anyway, are there no more original ideas left anywhere?? This is pathetic!

well i can't say that i'd really be into the spinoff to be honest. i was a die hard 90210 fan but with this show - it just didn't resonate as well and i don't know how they can make it work. it's just about a complex where people all know each other - and that's kind of like the apt complex that the girls on THE HILLS live...all laying out by the pool and what have you.

Like we all didn't see this one coming. Personally I enjoyed Melrose more than 90210 but that was back when I was a kid. I don't think either of them should have spin-offs.

I just don't think these spinoffs can possibly live up to the orginal. The new 90210 is really lame. If they had just re-vistited the lives of the old cast, now that would be something! However, in order to appeal to a younger generation as well, we're left with that crap they put on the air.
Melrose Place was good, but a spinoff? Maybe try something similar in the same age-range, but a spinoff I think is a mistake.

ok first off...i hated this show. i could never keep up with who slept with who...it was like std central. secondly. cant we come up with some *new* ideas for shows? its the same with movies--remake of this..remake of that. have we run out of creative ideas?

You totally need another option because I don't think the 90210 "revisited" thing they're doing works either. The only reason I even watched one episode was to see the old characters, and there is just nothing there that interests me in the least.
I wish someone would stop remaking shows that don't need to be touched. We don't need new Knight Rider, 90210... we don't need another movie remake either. Someone just needs to get an original idea for a change.

First off, Lisa was the worst part of Melrose Place and I was OBSESSED with that show! Of course she would be up for it, she needs work! I do think they should do that kind of show where group of adults living in the same area, but why does it need to be a MP spin off?! Can't you just let Amanda and Jane and Allison and sad gay Matt rest in peace?!
