At least she's honest about how hard the upkeep is, I get so annoyed at celebs who say they do nothing and can eat burgers (I'm looking at you right now Giselle), they are the exceptions, not the norm!

On another note, does anyone think she looks a little like SJP in this pic, back when she did that big Vogue shoot towards the end of Sex and the City? I don't think the two look anything alike normally, but this pose, and her mouth, made me do a double take when I first saw the post!

And what becomes to the battle of weight, being so honest about it makes her even more likable than before.

That's a great cover. It *is* refreshing to hear celebs be honest about the upkeep for their appearances. It's good to know that they're human and have the same struggles as the rest of us.

It's a shame that our culture forces pre-teens to obsess over their bodies and food. My twelve year old is already thinking she is "too fat". This is a child who dances, eats healthy and is as thin as can be. It really upsets me because no matter how much we parents try to tell our girls they are beautiful, they are forced fed these lies about what they should look like. I'm glad Gwen and Kate Winslet have been so open about how much of a struggle it is to maintain these ridiculous standards of beauty.

She is fabulous, I really like her, she's so normal and down to earth and doesn't try to be someone she's not.

Wow, she is cool for talking about struggling with weight. She has always looked wonderful -- either really athletic looking like in her earlier No Doubt days or very svelte. But she is beautiful no matter what.

I never thought it was easy to look as fabulous as Gwen all the time. Go Gwen!

I loved old Gwen back in the early days of No Doubt. She was so much cooler back then. She is vapid now.

I'm glad she's honest about watching her weight. The 'all I do is cut out dessert' brigade don't half get on my nerves.

It's nice she admits it! Nearly every star won't even admit they diet at all. It's just "natural" and it's "good genes".

I'm glad that she admits to dieting instead of all of the actresses and models who claim to have a fast matabolism. Yes, I believe some people really do have fast matabolisms. I'm pretty thin and I don't work out or diet much. But I do admit that I try to go to the gym and for the most part eat pretty healthy. And I'm not even as stick thin as some of the girls who claim to have fast matabolisms. Gwen has admitted to dieting before as well. Its definately refreshing that she is so honest about it.

i really hope her openness in interviews doesnt come back and bite her in the ass, the fact that she is so willing to put herself out there and just be herself is what makes her so unique
